The anniversary edition of the Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais came to a close on Sunday. In torrential weather conditions, Britain's Todd Kellett dominated the race to claim his fourth consecutive victory on the Opal Coast, sealing his 2025-2026 championship title in the process.
It was the event eagerly awaited by thousands of enthusiasts and nearly 2,400 riders. The 50th edition of the Enduropale du Touquet, the final round of the French Sand Championship (CFS), lived up to all expectations. Under threatening skies and biting winds, the sand gladiators set off for three hours of pure effort on a particularly grueling 13-kilometer course.
Todd Kellett's demonstration
As soon as the flag dropped, Todd Kellett (Yamaha) showed his ambitions. The English rider, a veritable metronome on this surface, quickly took the lead and never looked back. Despite constant pressure from his pursuers, Kellett demonstrated perfect mechanical and physical management. As reported by France 3, the wet conditions made the sand heavy and the ruts treacherous, but nothing seemed to disrupt the "King's" progress.
Behind him, the battle for the podium was intense. Belgium's Cyril Genot (Honda) tried everything to catch up, finishing less than two minutes behind the winner after a heroic comeback. Local boy Milko Potisek (Yamaha) completed the podium in third place, carried by the fervor of a crowd that remained as numerous as ever despite the cold.
An international Top 5 and solid performances
The top 500 rankings (available in detail on Motoplanete) reflect the exceptional level of this 2026 edition. Behind the leading trio, Dutchman Lars Van Berkel (Fantic) took a superb fourth place, followed by Norway's Hakon Fredriksen (Honda). Also noteworthy was the fine performance of Adrien Van Beveren, who, despite focusing on his rally-raid goals, finished in the top 10 (8th).
2025-2026 French Sand Championship: The Englishman's coronation
This victory in Le Touquet is not just another prestigious trophy in Todd Kellett's collection. It marks the conclusion of a championship season that he has dominated from start to finish. By winning this final round, the Englishman officially clinched the title of French Sand Champion 2025-2026.
Kellett confirms that he is currently the man to beat in the discipline. His consistency throughout the various rounds of the season (Berck, Loon-Plage, Hossegor, etc.) allowed him to arrive at Le Touquet with a comfortable lead, but yesterday's triumph proves that he never leaves anything to chance. The final overall championship standings reflect this British domination, placing Kellett at the top of the sand world, ahead of Cyril Genot, who fought hard until the very last second.
