News Ernem colors and Carbon version for the HJC Rpha 72.

e.g.

With the launch of the RPHA 72 Carbon, HJC aims to mark a turning point in its strategy for the sport-GT segment. Hoping to replicate the huge success of the RPHA 70, the Korean brand is once again targeting demanding users with a premium model that is more compact and lighter, designed to compete with the market leaders.

A unique carbon shell and sleek design

This Carbon version introduces a completely redesigned shell, still in keeping with the sporty DNA of the RPHA range, but optimized for long journeys. Developed in a wind tunnel, the RPHA 72 Carbon promises a careful balance between GT comfort and pure performance. Its major advantage: lightness. Weighing only 1375 g in size M, it ranks among the lightest high-end helmets in its segment.

HJC has also revised several technical elements, including a new visor lock and an internal sun visor that can be adjusted using the DMS (Dynamic MultiStep Sun Shield) system.

Optimized aerodynamics and increased stability

Thanks to its carbon fiber structure, the shell is more compact and rigid. The engineers focused their efforts on aerodynamics, with particular attention paid to the chin guard and external appendages. The result is a claimed 19.7% reduction in aerodynamic drag and 6.9% reduction in lift, ensuring a more stable and less tiring helmet, especially at high speeds.

The visor system has also been improved: a 3D model with enhanced optical quality, combined with a Pinlock 120 XLT and a redesigned locking mechanism for improved sealing.

Improved acoustic comfort

The aerodynamic improvements directly benefit acoustic comfort. The RPHA 72 Carbon features a redesigned, more enveloping neck roll and chin guard to reduce air infiltration and limit turbulence.

A sun visor adjustable to three positions

An essential feature for a sport-GT helmet, the internal sun visor has a new tint and can be adjusted to three different positions. Extendable from 5 to 10 mm, it adapts to different head shapes while avoiding contact with the nose, a rare feature on the market designed for long-distance riders.

Optimized ventilation and personalized fit

The A.C.S. (Advanced Channeling System) has been redesigned with a more efficient upper air intake and a reworked chin guard control. The helmet is available in three shell sizes for a total of seven sizes, combined with five EPS foam densities for a precise fit.

The new 3D foams, which are antibacterial and anti-perspirant, offer a softer feel and quick drying. They are fully removable, washable, and equipped with an emergency extraction system inspired by the RPHA 1. A titanium double-D buckle, grooves for glasses, and a nose guard complete the equipment.

Four Ernem designs and a nod to female riders

Alongside the carbon version, the Rpha 72 with the PIM shell is available in an Ernem design, available in four color options, including one that skillfully blends gray, purple, and pink for female riders looking for a different style.

Less lightweight but more affordable, this Rpha 72 is a big step forward from the 71. The first thing that strikes you about this new model is its lightness. HJC has announced a reduction of 150 to 200 grams depending on size compared to the RPHA 71. With a weight of 1425 g in size M (50 g), it is now one of the lightest high-end GT helmets on the market.

This weight reduction demonstrates the manufacturer's technological expertise, optimizing both materials and production processes to achieve this result without compromising safety.

Beyond this weight reduction, the model introduces several notable improvements:

  • A completely redesigned visor locking mechanism;
  • A progressively adjustable internal DMS sun visor;
  • And no fewer than 18 colors available from the first season, a rare effort in this category, designed to satisfy all aesthetic preferences.

Compatible with SMARTHJC systems

Like the brand's other high-end models, the RPHA 72 is designed to accommodate second-generation SMARTHJC communication kits based on SENA technology. The modules fit perfectly into the shell thanks to the compartments provided for this purpose.

  • HJC 21B Smart Intercom: $259.90
