With the MT-07, Yamaha has pulled off a real market heist. Its sparkling engine and ease of handling instantly made it the star of the sector (despite very average suspension) and a veritable toy for stunt enthusiasts. The “Cage” version is clearly inspired by it. It would take almost 10 years for the competition to step up a notch with the Honda 750 Hornet.
