the Iranian company Tak Taz Motor was founded on December 18, 1997. Shortly afterwards, Tak Taz built its first motorcycle, the TK 125, in collaboration with Taiwan's Hartford.
soon afterwards, the company approached Suzuki Japan with a view to obtaining a license to produce the Japanese models directly in Iran. The license was obtained in October 2000.
at last count, Tak Taz employed 180 people and announced a production capacity of 50,000 motorcycles - 25,000 units were produced in 2011. The company is based in Tehran.
