Motorcycle specifications MV-Agusta800 Turismo Veloce Rosso 2022 Spicy sport-tourism

whatever its orientation, mission, trim level or power, every 3-cylinder MV-Agusta has been given a good technical facelift for 2021. And even a little more for the Turismo Veloce. Valiant in character, eager to offer a notion of comfort and roadholding that other models can't understand, the Varese crossover improves life on board with a seat that's 20 mm lower (830 mm), a better padded seat and a more protective bubble. The bubble is 75 mm higher and 38 mm wider.
the engine is Euro5 compliant, with the blessing of a few modifications. New moving parts, reduced friction, modified exhaust, more powerful injectors, modified gear ratios - the final figures state that neither power nor torque have been impacted. The manufacturer even reports a 12% increase in torque between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm.
it's on the electronics side that the Turismo has gained the most. Thanks to the installation of an IMU, the Turismo gains active ABS for cornering, from Continental. There's also cruise control, a version 3.0 shifter and a new, larger TFT screen (5.5") with revised graphics. These were introduced with the latest version of the Brutale 1000. It can be paired with a smartphone and interacted with via the MV Ride app.
a fine array of improvements, ideal for showing the public and the competition the verve of one of MV-Agusta's most surprising models. With the birth of the Turismo Veloce, the "Meccanica Verghera" took its turn in the 2-wheeled SUV. The TV 800 is a blend of a bit of trail, a lot of roadster and the brand's sporting temperament. It's also not exactly a cheap model. But by integrating it into the Rosso range, the manufacturer has lowered its price. But at what price? (literally AND figuratively)
Firstly, by limiting the choice of colors: there's only one. A skirt of black that invades the lower body, from plastics to metallics, topped by a blood-red cape. Next, the manufacturing processes have been reviewed.
Not quite enough to explain the 3,000-euro reduction in price since the previous version. The factory must have taken the opportunity to reposition the bike to compete with the 900 Tracer GT and F 900 XR.
The exhaust pipes are modelled on those of the 3-cylinder F3 and Brutale. This is logical, since the machine is also powered by the Tre Pistoni. However, the final shape is squarer, as inspired by the old F4s. The attention to detail and the desire to offer an exceptional fragrance continue with discreet stitching on the seat, a single-arm, LED indicators inlaid in the hand guards, the finely illuminated polygon encircling the headlamp unit, moments of MV-Agusta engraving here and there... Temptation is everywhere.
The norm in the trail-GT segment is a big twin, preferably 1200 cc. Instead, MV has opted for a boiling-hot powertrain already baptized in its F3 sportsbike, and adopted by its Brutale and Dragster roadsters. Thus, the super-compact 3-cylinder engine is installed in the Turisme Veloce, in its 800 size. Fiery and furious, the 3-legged engine is calibrated to produce 110 hp max at 10,150 rpm. Torque is rated at 8.16 mkg perched at 7,100 rpm. It smells like a nervous trail, more tempted to excite your back than the purr of a GT.
An MV frame bears a signature: two aluminum parts attached to a steel trellis frame. Very similar to that of the ex-Rivale, its structure is slightly wider and the plates have been modified to accommodate a center stand. With 160 mm and 165 mm of travel, the suspensions are supplied by Marzocchi for the 43 mm upside-down forks and Sachs for the shock absorbers. Settings have been revised for 2021. Brembo takes care of braking, and it's serious without being hypersport. Radial mounting, 4 pistons per caliper and 320 mm discs at the front; 220 mm disc and double-piston caliper at the rear.
At 191 kilos, the Turismo Veloce's delicate size is also reflected in its weight. Its fuel tank, with a capacity of 21.5 liters, is designed to take you to the next level.
You'll find a different, more upscale taste in trail riding with this machine from Varese. The outfit is appealing, the body is sporty and the engine smells of gunpowder. Clearly inclined to cover winding roads with velocity, the machine expresses more its Italian ardor than its pretension to "country" between roads, paths and fir trees. This MV-Agusta seems to live up to its name.
M.B - Manufacturer's photos
With its intoxicating-sounding mechanics and crazy shifter, it's addictive to ride it and admire its aesthetic details once you've reached your destination... for those who speak badly, I've always managed to get there in 6000 km! Fingers crossed :)) And if you're not sure about the Yam Tracer9, here's a tip - try them both! Rating : 5/5 Respond to MV convaincu
And just to see the admiring looks on people's faces says it all!
Bonne route à tous/tes Rating : 5/5 Respond to Zanzi
A magnificent bike, it just needs the standard panniers and heated grips to really compete with the Tracer GT. And a center stand Rating : 5/5 Respond to invité
Very good bike with superb lines, surely the most beautiful bike in its category. No particular problems apart from the fuel gauge, which broke down after 3 years
With this new price tag, it should reach a wider customer base
Bravo to Mv for reacting to the competition in terms of pricing Rating : 4/5 Respond to Joub69
