presentation of the GSF 650 Bandit N 2009
it's a surprise, a good surprise. Suzuki is giving a facelift to its flagship roadster: the Bandit. The N and S versions have been slightly reworked, especially in terms of trim. More fun for the naked, classier for the tourer. The GSF 650 gets a completely new headlamp. Faithful to the traditional, unmistakable round headlamp since its creation in 1995, the bandit now adopts a smooth, curved element, as does the new dashboard above it. This styling exercise is slightly reminiscent of the face of the new SVF Gladius, and almost inspired by the Yamaha FZ6 (itself inspired by the MV-Agusta Brutale). The rear end, meanwhile, is reminiscent of the original taillight on the old GSX-Fs. The side covers where the steering column meets the fuel tank are also softer and more elegant. The appearance of a headlight surround also adds to the styling, as do the new, slimmer turn signals and mirrors. The 2 Bandit also benefits from a new black engine cover and an all-new speedometer, featuring attractive calligraphy, a speedometer and all the information you'd expect from this model. Nothing new on the engine front. Not surprisingly, it's not even 2 years since the GSF 650 and 1250 adopted brand-new liquid engine blocks. Available with or without ABS (optional WHERE MotoId = 115), the 650 GSF N still boasts a very attractive price tag. It's hoping to re-establish itself as one of France's best-sellers. However, against the sparkling ER-6 and the exciting new XJ6 Diversion, it's still going to be a very tight race.

Please note that for versions from 2011 onwards, the ECU needs to be changed and the price is no longer the same.
So I'm happy with 34 hp and only use the first half of the rev counter (after 6,000 there's nothing left), but those are the rules and I knew that before I bought it.
Despite being 6'5", I feel comfortable on this bike, which is my first (seat raised to the maximum).
But I admit that I can't wait to cross the bridge to either de-restrict it or upgrade to a more powerful model, and above all to be able to use the entire range of the engine! Rating : 4/5 Respond to TomTom
Handling 0 which makes it uncomfortable
Not very lively
In short, forget it Rating : 1/5 Respond to Bilbot
Admittedly, it lacks power compared to other bikes, but it's still insurable at a reasonable price for a young license holder. What's more, I have no problem keeping up with Hornets or Fazers... See them cold. After that, in a straight line, the engine can't compete with more powerful bikes that take 30 or 40km/h more at the top.
The weight is a pain in the stroller, but it's forgotten as soon as you're riding, and the bike is pleasant to ride, with its big tank and seat height for my 6'2" frame (I didn't raise the seat and my feet are firmly on the ground)
The only fault might lie with the tires (BT020/021): they're not bad (in fact, they're very good for road use), but they show their limitations when the pace picks up (the rear stalls quickly under hard braking, and don't give as good a felin as Conti Roadattack tires) However, the tires were already 5 years old (4344km) when I bought the bike (both replaced around 13300/13500: worn front and aged rear)
All in all, then, this is a bike I'd recommend to anyone who wants a good way to rack up the miles without breaking the bank. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Almeti
An excellent machine for beginners, the weight may come as a bit of a surprise, but you'll soon get used to it. Plenty of power for everyday use, and an engine that doesn't shy away from revs, sound chassis, unbeatable price.
