We know that the electric market situation is complicated, but that doesn't stop manufacturers from forging strategic alliances. Such is the case with LiveWire and Kymco, who recently previewed their new model at the EICMA Show in Milan.
LiveWire and Kymco unveil an ambitious electric maxi-scooter
Scheduled for launch in the first half of 2026, the electric maxi-scooter resulting from the collaboration between Harley-Davidson subsidiary LiveWire and Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco promises to be a major creation in the urban electric vehicle sector. It was presented at the EICMA show, bringing to fruition their partnership initiated in 2022, when the Taiwanese manufacturer acquired a stake in LiveWire.
Harley-Davidson subsidiary Livewire opens up to the European market
Designed primarily for the European market, this model combines LiveWire's S2 powertrain, already present on the S2 Del Mar (worn by Tom Cruise at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics) and S2 Mulholland models, with Kymco's expertise in electric scooters, offering a leading urban mobility solution.

So, do BMW and its CE-04 have anything to worry about? With an estimated 81-84 horsepower, the maxi-scooter reflects LiveWire's ambition to expand its range, hitherto concentrated on electric motorcycles, and strengthen its presence on the European market. This collaboration aims to redefine the premium electric scooter segment, with a bold design and advanced charging technologies developed by Kymco.
Kymco, a key partner in LiveWire's diversification
Karim Donnez, CEO of LiveWire, expresses his enthusiasm about the extension of this partnership:"The conviction that we could create a benchmark maxi-scooter using our S2 Arrow powertrain has always been there. Allen Ko, President of Kymco, adds:"LiveWire is an iconic leader in electric solutions for urban mobility. We're delighted to be partnering with them."
This model promises to become an attractive choice for city dwellers in search of electric performance and urban elegance. This is certainly a turning point for the young LiveWire brand, which until 2021 was only known as Harley-Davidson's first electric motorcycle...
