Triumph enters the electric segment by surprise. Since the TE-1 project was abandoned, the dream of electron-powered motorcycles seemed to have been shelved.
But here's a new family of two-wheelers joining the British range. The result of a collaboration that began in 2022 with the integration of OSET into the Triumph family, the new Triumph TXP range of electric motorcycles is officially launched. Developed by the design and engineering teams of both brands, this series presents four new electric motorcycle models designed for learning and off-road riding for young riders, characterized by scalable performance, high-end design and integrated safety features.
Targeted design for rider evolution
The TXP range is specifically designed to accompany the rider from the discovery of balance to the mastery of technical terrain. Each bike benefits from age-appropriate geometry, frame, controls and components, optimized for the rider's size and experience.
Based on OSET's proven technology, the TXP models now incorporate Triumph's expertise. They feature a lightweight chassis, advanced ergonomics and a unique 2-in-1 modular configuration. The design is based on Triumph's Motocross and Enduro range, with Performance Yellow and Graphite Black livery.

Four models for a linear progression
The new range starts with the TXP-12, accessible from the age of three. It continues with the TXP-16 and TXP-20 for growing children, culminating in the TXP-24. The latter, the largest and most powerful model, is designed for children over ten, teenagers and adults weighing up to 90 kg.
Electrical technology and enhanced safety
TXP models are equipped with brushless motors offering progressive and predictable power, adapted to each category. Power ranges from 600 W for the TXP-12 to 1,600 W for the TXP-24, ensuring responsive torque.
The electronics incorporate intelligent control systems, including :
- FOC (Field-Oriented Control), which optimizes magnetic fields for maximum torque and smooth response.
- Active Power Stabilization (APS), ensuring constant power output even when battery power is low.
The high-capacity lithium batteries are IP67-certified for waterproofing and feature a diagnostic function.

Chassis
The bikes are built on lightweight steel frames with adapted geometry and two seat height options. Adjustable suspensions are also adapted to rider size and varying terrain. Braking systems evolve from the cable system on the TXP-12 to the four-piston hydraulic disc brakes on the TXP-24, ensuring progressive and secure stopping power.
Safety has been a priority, with features such as:
- Magnetic safety cords.
- PIN-protected parental speed controls.
- Two-step start-up sequences.
- IP67 water-resistant electronics.
Finally, the 2-in-1 modular design allows easy removal of the seat and fender, giving riders the choice between seated off-road riding (XPlore mode) and standing trials-style riding (Trials mode). These bikes undergo rigorous testing and meet Triumph's high quality standards.

Nick Bloor, Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycles, said: "The TXP range represents an exciting new chapter for Triumph. Since integrating OSET into the Triumph family, we have pooled our expertise to develop a range that is not only technically advanced, but also rooted in the real riding experience. By combining our competition-successful off-road engineering experience with OSET's proven electric trial expertise, we've created a product range that can empower the next generation of riders. As a family business, I'm delighted to see families riding Triumphs together and sharing the pleasure of motorcycling across generations. Riding an electric motorcycle helps young riders to develop their motor skills, balance and coordination, but it also helps them to gain confidence and develop a lifelong love of motorcycling.
Ian Smith, founder of OSET, adds: "Being part of Triumph has given OSET the opportunity to develop our technology and reach new riders. The TXP range continues everything we've built, from trials championships to community riding. With the support of Triumph dealers around the world, we can reach more families, support more communities and continue to evolve the technology that has helped thousands of young riders discover the thrill of motorcycling. It's about taking fun seriously and building the future of the sport.
