With SC Project, the Suzuki GSX-R1000 can once again exceed 200 chevaux.

The Italian aftermarket parts manufacturer SC-Project, based in Lombardy, has announced the launch of a new line of exhaust systems specifically developed for the Suzuki GSX-R1000R. This move marks a diversification for the Milan-based company, which until now has had little experience with models from the Hamamatsu-based manufacturer. The release of these products coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Japanese sports bike.

With annual production exceeding 50,000 units and a workforce of about 100 employees, the Italian company offers this new line in four distinct models. The catalog clearly distinguishes between legal street use and track performance. For street use, the manufacturer offers the SC1-R GT homologated muffler, which delivers a measured power increase of 2 chevaux.

However, the bulk of the technical development has been geared toward the track, with three non-homologated models delivering power gains ranging from three to five and a half chevaux. The CR-T muffler, available with a titanium or carbon fiber housing, is the flagship of this lineup. Developed based on the brand’s experience in the Moto2 World Championship, it uses materials derived from the aerospace industry, TIG welding, and CNC-cut tubes. The manufacturer’s data indicates a 70% reduction in weight, with the total weight dropping from 4.6 kg for the stock part to 1.2 kg. In terms of performance, the CR-T claims a power gain of 5.5 chevaux and a torque increase of 5.1 Nm at 7,900 revolutions per minute.

To comply with noise regulations imposed at many racetracks, SC-Project has expanded its lineup with the SC1-R Racing muffler. Designed to Superbike category standards, this model is available with a 250 mm or 350 mm insert. This technical design limits noise emissions to 99 dB at 6,600 rpm, providing a regulation-compliant alternative for race riders.
