to get to Chamrousse, you first have to tackle a boulevard lined with red lights and cashiers. A game for the Fazer. The riding position is very relaxed: sitting upright on a firm seat, legs slightly bent but not excessively so, you squeeze the machine, surprised by the extreme slenderness of the tank indentation. Twirling between the cars honors the supple engine and lively steering.
Lightweight and ultra-agile, the machine can be controlled with one hand, and positioned effortlessly. The suspension absorbs minor shocks without flinching, sparing your spine while ensuring flawless roadholding. The lack of torque and high horsepower means you can put the handlebars in the corner without restraint at the exit of the hairpin. Younger riders will appreciate this. The Fazer lost the R6 's calipers in its transformation. The new ones do the job with gusto. Power and bite are as effective as you could wish for, without the aggressiveness of the sportbike's clamps, which can sometimes be confusing for neophytes. Sorry, but I just can't get used to this digital rev counter. It's readable, but much less so than a good old-fashioned needle. Never mind, the ear provides much better and quicker information on revs. The selection buttons are physical to operate, so you have to press hard!
The assault on the pass is calmed by the wet road, covered in treacherous leaves. Half-turn... in a handkerchief! It's amazing how hard you can turn! You could almost turn back without maneuvering on a trail. Back home; boulevard, cars, and this agility, I love it. Arrival at Yam's. Attempt to grab the kickstand, try again... Moderately practical - lacks a little lug to grab it the first time. OK, I quibble.
the 2004 Fazer? The same, only better and more beautiful. As versatile as ever, ready to play anywhere and everything. Immediately at ease, the rider benefits from a machine that's easy to ride, rigorous, and has everything it takes to stay at the top of the sales charts. But be warned, the R-series lineage is very much present: while it retains the "Fazer" spirit and homogeneity, it has become a little sportier than before.

To get the most out of it, you need to rev it up (600cc between 10 and 14,000 rpm: careful with your license), but it's very supple (4 legs) at the bottom, like a real bike.
Even with 2 people and suitcases, trips go well, but the original shock absorber had to be changed to keep up with overloading (and 78,000km of loyal service).
One tooth less on the sprocket is recommended to gain downforce, but the counter is skewed (more optimistic and... more km).

Moi j'ai eu en 1er moto le fazer 600 année 2000
For me a super machine sober and at the same time dirty kidðŸ˜...😈
Aprés toutes ces années je me offre la fz6 2005
And there I admit the evolution is important.
The only downside is the smell of gas on the passenger's clothes after a long ride.

Conclusion: nothing but happiness... Impeccable saddle height, low weight, easy to handle in town and on the route des crêtes between Cassis and La Ciotat, good protection on the freeway. I don't regret my purchase, even though it's an 11-year-old bike. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Papy john

This bike allows you to take it easy or just enjoy yourself as soon as you exceed 8,000 rpm.
Reliability-wise, nothing to complain about! I carry out my maintenance as scheduled, and it's clear that nothing wears out: it always starts right up. Handling is impeccable, a must for beginners. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Dam

forget the kick in the butt of the kawa, linear acceleration of the yam!
good ride comfort, modern bike, i added an engine cover, a rear wheel washer and a double carbon pot under the seat, not compatible with certain wheel arches
now it looks and sounds great!
weak point: even if the passenger seat is good, the original shock absorber isn't up to scratch, even with adjustments, ask my wheel wiper!
strong point: fuel consumption! 320 km with a full tank, driving "cool" at 110/120 to get to work (70 km a day)
on that note... bon route to all Rating : 5/5 Respond to VFRMAN37
i'm surprised to see no more comments on this model. I've had it for 1 year, the 2006 vintage, and I can tell you that I'm very happy with it. Good power, good looks and a good trip guaranteed. The downside is the comfort of the saddle. Well, I have to say that at 50 years of age, you start to get a bit grumpy!
Have a nice ride. Rating : 5/5 Respond to barjo
i have no regrets at all about buying my nervous little 600. Rating : 5/5 Respond to yoyo
The chassis is much stiffer than the 2003 model I left at the dealer's, the braking is just as strong but less brutal (but be careful in the wet, it locks up fast), the half fairing protects better, the engine seems more torquey at the bottom (even if that's still a problem on this kind of crime buster), but the seat does suck a lot (there had to be a flaw)
In short, for the moment, nothing but happiness....Aïe!!! I've just sat down! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Nico
It's been 1? months since I bought it, and I've happily ridden it for 2,600 kilometers. The seat is certainly not comfortable, but it's so easy to ride, it seems to guide me along the road, and not to buy it would have been my greatest regret - no other motorcycle has hooked me like this one, with its low noise level, clear dashboard, great handling and stability that makes you love curves, and we won't talk about power (98hp) ;)

I got my license in Feb.05 13500 kms covered on this little scooter.what happiness after a time of adaptation...normal after the Honda 500! A priori I did not have to give enough my bridgestone BT020 are almost niquels.....Mon c...moins and it is there its big defect.sans selle grand confort on long journeys one suffers.I lived good moment and I pass to the TDM 900 which will resemble me more I think for the large virées with two.Bonne route à toutes et à tous et prudebnce quand même. It's a pleasure to rev this engine (even more so than the old one), and the chassis is so easy to ride. It even looks like a sports bike without a fairing, with that R1-style front end..
How will they do it better next time? Rating : 5/5 Respond to guilhempsg
Except that with two people, especially over 1m75, it becomes rather uncomfortable to drive in curves
A good alternative to the hustle and bustle of road trips! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Xhytos
