presentation of the CB 1300 Super Four 2006

honda's return to the big roadster clan has seen it return to the successful recipes of the Yamaha XJR 1,300 and Suzuki GSX 1,400, and it's about time the world's leading manufacturer brought a machine of this type to our market. Since the demise of the X-11, nothing! Honda had to think twice: the bland CB 1,000 didn't convince, the X-11 didn't find its clientele, and the Hornet 900 is in a different league. So, what about this CB 1300? Elegant lines, respectful stature, a classic double-cradle frame holding a vigorous, modern 1,284 cm3 4-cylinder. OK, nothing revolutionary compared to the other Japanese machines in this group; and yet, this machine bewitches more than any other...

the ride is extremely pleasant. Comfortably seated on the well-designed (but slightly firm) saddle, you enjoy the extreme flexibility of the engine and pleasant controls. The clutch and gearbox are a delight. From then on, you can concentrate on the essentials: driving pleasure... and let yourself be intoxicated by the 4-legged, fuel-injected engine. Discreet at low revs, it leaves you a short time to hang on to the handlebars before pushing off in a bewildering fashion. A generous squeeze of the throttle after 3,000 rpm and you're in for a real treat all the way to the end of the rev counter; no matter what gear you're in, the boiler has so much in the belly that it plays tricks with all the gears. With so many watts, it's surprisingly easy to get the 250 kgs out of the way. The pace picks up. You can even go for a sporty ride, and the machine follows. No need to move your body, everything is done with your right hand. Curve approach, braking: power and feel are there.

HONDA CB 1300 Super Four the front end guides the big CB brilliantly. In tight sequences, its weight comes to the surface, but the balance remains impressive. of course, to obtain a rigorous machine, you need suspension that's a little firm. As a result, the CB 1300 can't boast the softness of an XJR, yet it's a good companion at a leisurely pace. It's up to the rider to indulge in a bucolic ride - with the ever-present possibility of a good boost - or indulge in a good dose of roadster sport. All with a spicy flavour.

from 2005, the CB 1300 can be fitted with ABS as an option. A system borrowed from the CBF 600, light and affordable, which should enable the big Honda to limit its inflation.

French Martko Model 2005
Superb bike for road or city use
Very torquey, you can stay at 30km in last gear if you know how to play with the clutch, like a cdf 600 in motion, which means you have to ride it like a 600, which results in good fuel consumption, as the machine is already greedy when ridden smoothly.forced to part with it from 2022 because of the critair, this big rip-off
In short, a superb motorcycle, very easy to handle on the move, supple, torquey, braking, roadholding, ras....its only shortcomings are its weight when stationary and its fuel consumption...otherwise nothing but happiness.

Motorcycle without personality, not sporty, very honest in maintenance, I sold it for a more versatile 1200 bandit Rating : 1/5

My twentieth bike. This one will stay in my garage... 1300cm3 of pleasure. A displacement that unfortunately no longer exists... It rips your arms off at 3000rpm, the comfort is top-notch, and the chassis is extremely healthy and playful... The weight is only noticeable when you stop... so yes, if you're 60kg and have little-girl arms, the engine-off handling will put some people off... but as soon as you're on the road, you feel like you're on a 600 Hornet, with the added stability of course... I'll have other bikes, no doubt, but this one will stay nice and warm! It's a dragster... And for a used price that defies all competition... No point in selling it. The pleasure it gives you is worth far more than the few thousand euros it'll bring you on sale... Rating : 5/5

Dual personality for this roadster
Doctor jekyll or mr hyde?
Beautiful and tenebrous, the muffled sound then. Cavernous barks as soon as you hit 3,000 rpm. Cornering is easy thanks to a 2.5-degree caster and michelin tyres. Bi gomme pilot road ll .la precision de conduite est redoutable avec le ralenti bien réglé ,une tension de chaine et les suspenssions bien régles.

For a long time, I hesitated between a CB1300 and an XJR1300. The price was leading me towards the Yam, but the fuel injection and Honda reputation were in favor of the CB. The XJR is a little more comfortable, and a good machine, but not as good as its more accomplished rival. So I've got a CB1300 and I'm very happy with it: roadholding, engine torque, everything's going well, even in town it makes you forget it's a big bike. Don't confuse it with a sports bike, it's heavier but so much nicer in everyday use. If you're looking for a cool ride with an occasional burst of madness, this is the ideal machine. Rating : 5/5

I have a cb1300 since nov 2004 and 15000 km
She sleeps in the garage and takes care of her
Good bike but it ages badly
There's a trace of rust on the lower fork crown (electrolysis occurs at the junction between the aluminum and chromed steel forks)
Screws and bolts not too clean either
Still under warranty, I'll see my dealer for advice
HONDA ... it's not like before
I'm going to part with it for Hayabusa
Did I fall on a bad series ..
Thanks guys .

hello everyone
a bike just the way we like it, no need to turn the handle to go forward or overtake
great looks
great handling, solo or duo
what's missing is a center stand, the gimbal, for riding far, far away
i've yet to find any fault with it, apart from the two pockets that vibrate from time to time
i'm rediscovering the pleasure of a vfr
a little barter for the road acros, when you see a "twin" radar (laser sight on a fixed point) make little zigzags IT WORKS very well, but I didn't say anything
see you soon

as you said, i broke my piggy bank and finally i've been riding it for 1 week. i'm 40 years old and have 20 years of driving experience, formerly on a vmax. i have no regrets about the acceleration and the handling, especially with the abs and the braking distribution
minor drawbacks: exhaust too quiet and huge volume. a 6-speed gearbox wouldn't go amiss, as would a universal joint. but I'm taking off, my oil is cooling off. tchaaaaooooooo!!!!!!!

I own one of the very first 2005 models (April) with ABS. The blue suits it perfectly. The 1000 was serviced just one week later. Driving it is a real treat. For the duo, no problem (except perhaps for tall people). Great for leisurely rides, breathtaking acceleration... You're quickly beyond the authorized limits
A little more difficult for a sporty pace, especially in the sequences. But I guess you'll have to get used to it!

Bonne route à tous

i had a 1200xjr sp that went well, I tried the 1300CB F new without being able to climb in the towers but I'm convinced that I will not be disappointed.+ finer than the xjr, + agile and especially + easy to remove points ..
I can't wait for the order form and to put a mine in the hands of the first unconscious person who wants to take a beating!

super happy... i've always ridden a bm r50 r90s r1150gs, no regrets. it's a bike to try out, you can ride it on a trickle of gas at any rpm. it pushes hard, a bike to recommend to taller riders. Rating : 5/5

I've had this model for 4 days. Before that I had a 1000 Varadero XLV, and before that I had a CBR 1000
The CB 1300 combines power, flexibility, handling and comfort, so there's nothing to complain about with this machine
Oh yes, I'm 45 and from the South of France.

I've just bought a 2003 model and my experience is certainly too recent to give a definitive opinion. However, when I read "it pulls like a sports bike" I have a problem, because as soon as I get back on my R1, which I haven't sold yet, the shivers go up my spine... So let's compare "brasletti"
Having said that, it seems to me to be an excellent machine in its category. Smoothness, smooth controls, engine trunk... What's really impressive is its balance: it handles like a bike, despite its considerable weight. The position is super-natural, and everything falls into place. When riding in traffic, beware of the mirrors, which fall right at van height. The wide saddle doesn't always provide optimum stability at standstill if you're short on legs; watch out for puddles of petrol at the station or other slippery roads. On the practical side, the under-seat locker provides ample space for your anti-theft equipment, without the need for external supports. In this respect, the attachment point seems to be limited to the front wheel, although it is possible to attach a U to the bottom of the frame to secure your machine to a fixed point using a chain or another U
I don't yet have enough feedback on the duo
Have a nice trip

I've just bought one, I had a 1200 XJR before, and... nothing to see... I've only had it for three days (and 450 km with two days of good weather) but it's surprising me by the minute, it's great on our roads in the Vosges and Alsace, it's a sweet ride, and at the same time it's got the devil! The iron fist in the velvet gan... I put on a clog and the scoops, but I couldn't find a nice bubble. I know what the pilot light is for... Tchuss Rating : 5/5

it's not a small car, it's a plane! New in July 2004, today (March 2005) 22,000 kms later, it's still a love story, it pulls like a sports car, it can be ridden cool, it slips into town, the only thing I don't like is the exhaust pipe, but as I don't see it very often... plus the rookies can't hear it coming, so I can drive past them without them looking at me the wrong way. Missing a center stand, to grease the chain, it's more practical, I put a wind jump and a personal saddle (I don't have Candelloro's shins!) and I'm having all the buddies try it out. So far, everyone likes it! As for maintenance, I'm on my second set of tires (it's coming to the end) and that's it! Don't hesitate any longer, open the door at Honda, especially in Rouen, and let us take care of you. It's a little more expensive than the other three "made in Japan" models, but it's worth it! Be careful, and with it, don't forget that "To leave is to rot a tire" Headlight calls Rating : 5/5

I've had a new one since May and I'm about to go through the 12,000km service and I'm very happy with my purchase. This bike is docile, knows how to ride quietly, but if you're looking for it, you'll find it!
As I ride it every day, I just added a little bubble to protect it from the elements, and it's really effective
It really is a great bike!
