in creating the Breakout, Harley-Davidson has created a power-custom with style. A devastating face, a huge tire, "gasser" inspiration and an elongated front end finished off with a 21-inch wheel - it's Hollywood Boulevard with Mad Max playing in the background. Its arrival on the scene was heralded by a CVO version in its very first year.
Its standard version began with the Twin Cam 103, with nearly 13 mkg and balancing weights to calm vibrations. This engine was kept for 5 years, before being replaced by the Milwaukee 8 block, which gradually gave it all the power it deserved. Today, the Breakout has a cubic capacity of 1,923 cm3 and belches out over 17 mkg. Its silhouette has evolved slightly, but without altering its inherent power and style.
