Motorcycle specifications Harley-Davidson1690 SOFTAIL BREAKOUT FXSB 2016 Rocking to the max and hard on the edges

Breakout!!! A name that clicks like an American blockbuster. A crack of shoulders on a metal score. Harley-Davidson sublimated the public by initially offering this thundering Softail in 2012 as a Custom Vehicle Operations version. Big luxury for a new machine, it immediately established a reputation. Such was the response that the manufacturer made it more accessible in 2013. By removing the CVO, a little ostentatiousness, glittery paintwork and quite a few euros, the FXSB 103 ci Breakout reinforces the clan of highly charismatic customs.
very long, very low, very sleek, the Breakout is a reinterpretation of the "Gassers", famous dragsters of the 50s and 60s. Removing all the CVO panoply makes it more virile, more "hairy". No more showing off in front of the Jean-Paul Gautier exhibition; now it's time for a hard-rock cafe.
"With the Breakout, we're going back to the basics of motorcycling, focusing on the engine, transmission and wheels." This is what Kirk Rasmussen, H-D's design director, has to say. It perfectly symbolizes the spirit and the idea, but it's exactly the same speech with each new product... Boring!
The Breakout relies on these attributes rather than on marketing hype to charm bikers and make the ladies fall in love. There's the look, where the body seems to be chasing the front wheel, dreaming of escaping. And this host of details, where stanzas of black contrast with the scent of chrome. The fork shines with all its being until the dark covers the ends. The dragster-style handlebars become more discreet, yet uncompromising.
this Softail adopts specially developed rims. These are 21" and 18" 10-spoke "Gasser" wheels, with an alternating gloss black epoxy finish to highlight the aluminum. Don't let the intensity of these details stifle your pleasure. You want your senses to soak it all in... the mudguards truncated to the max, the leather strip on the tank that hides the welds, the huge 240 mm tire, the minimalist (but complete) speedometer mounted on a booster, the chrome cover placed just high enough to hide the cables and air intakes. Attention to detail and finish is everywhere, with the engine as the crowning glory. The throbbing, guttural heart of the twin-cylinder is painted black and covered with chrome parts.
the Twin Cam here is the 103B version, in other words, it cubes 1690 cm3, is rigidly mounted in the frame but benefits from balancing shafts to limit vibrations.
in 2016, it's time to flex its muscles: like all Softails, the engine is now in High Output configuration.
Very fat, its torque exceeds 13 mkg at just 3,000 rpm. Its rattle is expressed by two exhausts, also bedecked in chrome and black. Belt drive and 6-speed gearbox are the norm.
Alternating authenticity and modernity, the chassis features a deceptively rigid "hardtail" frame, with two amortos hidden beneath the chassis, an open-angle fork and a single brake disc per wheel. ABS and Security Package are fitted as standard. Let's stay with braking - the Moco enhances the system's willingness and capacity. The front disc has been enlarged from 292 to 300 mm. The caliper and master cylinder have been redesigned, with the latter also benefiting from a performance-enhancing design. The high-friction pad material reduces lever effort by almost half. Harley claims 40% less for optimal braking.
when you ride the 1690 Breakout, you don't get on; you get off. The seat is only 660 mm off the ground. The secondary footstool allows you to take the lady along, and detaches easily to proudly display a bad attitude (when your companion has just shouted ;-).
Rocking to the max and hard on the edges, the standard Breakout costs almost 10,000 euros less than the original edition, the ex FXSBSE 1800 CVO.

very nice bike and fun to ride Rating : 5/5 Respond to Filipo
Even my wife was won over, as the Sisi bar and the significantly larger seat helped.
A very nice finish, to tell you the truth, I think it'll be my next bike. Rating : 4/5 Respond to David
