presentation of the 850 V7 Stone Ten 2024
Introducing the 22nd version of the Moto-Guzzi V7. Since the return of this mythical name to the Italian range in 2008, this classic roadster has undergone a succession of evolutions and versions. On today's menu, a "TEN" edition, to celebrate 10 years of "Moto-Guzzi The Clan".
It's impossible to miss the name, with the badge in the middle of the handlebars. The V7 plays the provocative game, with a particularly decorative tank: white sides adorned with a red eagle, half the back painted black, and the other half covered with a chequered flag. A double act reminiscent of the style of the old V9 Bobbers.
The V7 Ten also has a sporty touch, with red shock absorber springs, red stitching on the seat, cafra-style handlebar-end mirrors and an anodized aluminum fuel filler cap.
The heart of this Guzzi, an 850 cm3 twin taken from the V9 and V85, has found a more voluble way of expressing itself. Moto Guzzi-branded Arrow exhausts give it sound and watts. Just a little. That's 1.5 horsepower more and 0.2 mkg more. Not enough to panic the traction control or bend the cardan shaft, but as you know, the charm of Guzzi mechanicals lies in the emotion, the ride, the pulsations - not in the numbers.
this package is not really original in itself. Apart from the patchwork on the tank, the recipe is virtually the same as for the V7 Stone Special Edition that appeared last year. The recycling cycle seems more of a hindrance than a virtue for this roadster, as essential as it is endearing within the range.
the Moto-Guzzi Clan is the official community of owners and fans of the Mandello-based brand. A club currently boasting 50,000 members. It's an opportunity to share your passion, exchange ideas and take part in events and itineraries, enjoy some of the company's advantages, and discover the Guzzi world and some timeless bikes.
