Enduro ISDE 2024: All the results from the 98ᵉ edition!

The world's top Enduro riders gathered for the 98ᵉ edition of the ISDE (International Six Days of Enduro) in Silleda (Galicia, Spain). Here's a recap of the results.

Josep Garcia makes history at ISDE 2024!

Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Josep Garcia made history with his fourth consecutive individual victory at the Six Days of Enduro (ISDE). Competing for Spain, Garcia dominated five of the six days of racing on his KTM 250 EXC-F, finishing on a high note with victory in the motocross final on Saturday.

This exceptional performance enabled him to break the record for individual victories in the competition. The reigning EnduroGP World Champion immediately took the lead. Then, as the final day of the ISDE took place in pouring rain, making the course difficult with flooded sections and deep ruts, Garcia left no room for uncertainty. From the second lap onwards, he took the lead and never relinquished it, confirming his new success in this event. "I just can't believe it! To win again here in Spain with my team is a dream come true," said the Spaniard after his performance. "This week has been extremely difficult, racing in the rain and mud every day... Now it's time to celebrate!"

Théo Espinasse finishes a very fine 3ᵉ place behind the Spanish champion and Britain's Steve Holcombe (Honda). Léo Le Quéré takes 6ᵉ position, Hugo Blanjoue and Julien Roussaly finish 13ᵉ and 16ᵉ respectively. But it's not these positions, in this ranking, that interest us....

Individual rankings:

1. Josep Garcia (ESP), KTM, 3:23:25.34
2. Steve Holcombe (GBR), Honda, 3:25:42.78 (+2:17.44)
3. Théophile Espinasse (FRA), Beta, 3:28:47.09 (+5:21.75)
4. Max Ahlin (SWE), KTM, 3:29:25.73 (+6:00.39)
5. Kevin Cristino (ITA), Fantic, 3:29:27.04 (+6:01.70)

World Enduro: France, seven years on!

On a collective level, the French team shone, taking a resounding victory with a lead of over 5 minutes over the USA. The quartet of Théo Espinasse (Beta-Oxmoto), Hugo Blanjoue (Honda-Elite Factory), Léo Le Quéré (TM Racing) and Julien Roussaly (Sherco Factory) dominated this edition, restoring French enduro to its former glory! This is France's ninth historic victory in this competition, seven years after their last crown in Brive, in 2017.

World Trophy team rankings :

1. France (Espinasse, Le Quéré, Blanjoue, Roussaly)
2. United States (Girroir, Toth, Barnes, Oliveira)
3. Spain (Navarro, Betriu, Pando, Garcia)

French juniors fall by the wayside

Les Bleuets had their title on the line again this year. They too had their moment of glory, winning the last two days of enduro, but the Juniors had to rely on the final motocross round to make up for lost time. Antoine Alix (Beta-Oxmoto), Thibault Giraudon (Sherco academy) and Léo Joyon (Beta-Oxmoto) all put in solid performances right up to the final round. Last year's winners, the French lost out this time to the untouchable Swedes, but beat the Americans by more than nine minutes.

Junior World Trophy standings :

1. Sweden (Norrbin, Semb, Ahlin)
2. France (Giraudon, Alix, Joyon)
3. United States (Oliveira, Tino, Davis)

ISDE 2024: French women in the background

Élodie Chaplot (Beta-Atomic), Mauricette Brisebard (HVA Atomic) and Justine Martel (Beta Atomic) didn't disappoint, but will have to be content with a chocolate medal for the second year running. The women were hoping for a return to the podium, following their runners-up spot in the 2022 Enduro World Championship. The USA came out on top, followed by Australia and Sweden. Of note is the impressive performance of American Brandy Richards, who finishes 49ᵉ overall out of more than 600 participants.

Women's World Trophy standings:

1. USA (Richards, Silvestri, Gutish)
2. Australia (Gardiner, Jones, McDonald)
3. Sweden (Emelie, Akesson, Malm)
4. France (Chaplot, Brisebard, Martel)

Finally, a word from the Club (amateur) category, where the Le Puy-en-Velay team of Julien Gauthier, Jérémy Petit and Enzo Marchal came third!

This edition of the ISDE 2024, marked by difficult conditions and incessant rain, contrasted sharply with the dusty edition of the previous year in Argentina. Let's see what's in store for the 2025 FIM Six Days International Enduro, which we already know will take place in Italy, from August 24 to 29!
