presentation of the 125 DRAGSTAR 2004
despite its position as leader, the Virago was unable to resist and even collapsed when the Honda Shadow arrived. Yam, incensed, took the profile and the name of its big customs and declined them in this category to counter the Honda. The new Drag Star is bigger, better equipped and better finished than the Virago. With its 600 size, it's a real eye-catcher. As far as looks are concerned, very good points are scored. On the engine side, however, the same enthusiasm does not prevail. The twin, taken from the Virago but improved, lacks the velocity to carry the machine's 150 kgs. It's good enough for everyday use, but falls short of the excellent Honda engine. The noise and vibrations it produces are not in its favor either. Apart from this lack of peachiness and user-friendliness, the Drag Star is an easy, healthy and pleasant bike to ride. Comfort is good, but the typical riding position is a little less so. Time has not proven its ambitions right - it has to be said that the means weren't sufficient to effectively counter the Shadow.

Negative Frankly it lacks sound a hyosung will sound almost harley, and the lack of distribution because in Japan there are crazy parts for xvs 250.sortie big radius and company. TF GARAGE xvs 250 on google. thanks for reading friend biker . Rating : 5/5 Respond to PETER
A very successful, comfortable bike, ideal for a Sunday ride
Rarely have Japanese manufacturers produced such aesthetically pleasing motorcycles
It's got it all. A collector's bike. Rating : 5/5 Respond to moumou
Lots of chrome, which is a sign of quality compared to the Shadow, which has a lot of plastic
Good acceleration, seems to want to change pinion and sprocket.
There's also a 250 engine available in Spain and Italy to make her take the plunge. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Drageurstar
So I'm going to be able to enjoy it.

but it's true that wherever I go, she comes with me, even with 67,000 km, all original except for tires, chain kit and maintenance. I'm now retired and I don't want any more cars. From Marseille to Sete, to Bresse, to Cannes, she'd "swallow" the road, stopping every hour. J\'ai le temps maintenant. And often there are 2 of us on her. So she's wonderful, my Titine. Very nice and equipped, only 24009 kms.
Black, saddlebags, sissi-bar, wind skip...
It still costs over 2100â'¬, gross. And 2640â'¬ in real coast...
I'm selling it for 1800â'¬, negotiable.

mine was made just before I bought it.
i'm running it in, it's 10,000 kms old, great in first gear, it pulls well, holds on to the handlebars, I haven't pushed it yet of course.
the seller made it in Luxembourg for 600 euros all inclusive, and testing there is authorized.
have a nice evening. Rating : 4/5 Participate in the conversation

I've got a Virago 125 and I think it's too small Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
It's a great bike for getting around town as well as on the road.
Top speed 95 - 100 is perfect for me, as my aim is not to break records.
Pleasant to ride, safe, attractive, always up to date and very affordable in terms of insurance, this bike really gives me a lot of pleasure; I don't regret my purchase. Rating : 4/5 Respond to pieclau
bike equipped with saddlebags and top case, but on the other hand

i've just bought a 2003 125 dragstar with 21000km on the clock and I think it's superb
aesthetics, comfort and mechanical side I find that the engine net not so bad, top speed 115km / h cons very reasonable given its weight it has everything of a great!
its style makes you dream, and makes you want to move as quickly as possible to the big Harley (due at the end of the year)
for a motorcycle that's going on 10 years old, I think it's of fine quality (chrome, upholstery, paintwork) and reasonably priced for great pleasure on a small budget, especially as they don't make them any more
bonne route

i've had a 2003 dragstar for a few weeks..i hesitated in view of the tests published here and there, but i don't regret my choice
the look is great, good overall quality... as for the engine, I didn't feel any difference with a shadow on acceleration, maybe on top speed?! anyway, on a 125 from 95 kms/h, stability is limited... for cruising, no problem!! i highly recommend it to those who hesitate!!!
bonne route à tous Rating : 5/5 Respond to rick47
i've just bought "my" yamaha dragstar 125 and for the moment I'm just riding it with my car license. It's a real gem that gives me the little dose of freedom I've been missing. I only have one concern with it (if it's a concern...): the tank capacity: the owner's manual may not be read to the letter as I did it! As a result, thinking I could do my 300 or so kilometers, I broke down several times, and my inexperience quickly turned into a nightmare! Fortunately, Dad's good advice taught me how to manage things calmly, and my bike is now almost always a full tank.
I love my bike, but it's true that its punch isn't its best asset. I'm taking my motorcycle driving test in a few weeks' time, and I'll be waiting a little longer to move up to the 650!
