presentation of the Sorcerer Hybrid 2020
It's a nice fake, and one we're happy to laugh at.
In the bubbling cauldron of companies paving the way for the future of electric motorcycle mobility, Druid Motorcycles is trying to distinguish itself with a surprising project. An alliance between the technology of yesteryear and the technology of tomorrow. This is the challenge the American company has set itself through hybridization. For when? For whom? Everything is open to speculation in this Sorcerer.
Available in two versions. The XEV relies entirely on electric propulsion. The Hybrid has it both ways, with a twin-cylinder engine (displacement unknown) gurgling fossil fuel and an electric motor connected to a 14 kWh battery. All this enables this sporty roadster to spit out 226.9 hp - almost as much as the recent evolution of the Kawasaki 1000 H2. Range is claimed to be 200 km.
This generous burst of power is matched by a particularly technical chassis. The frame, 3D-printed using graphene as a material, will have an adjustable geometry. Artificial intelligence will be implanted in the machine's electronics to adapt its performance to riding style, weather and road profile.
The Druid Sorcerer is scheduled for 2020. With so many unknowns surrounding this project, and such a tight deadline, it's doubtful whether this concept will come to fruition. Especially given their total appropriation of a Zontes 310 X design and troubling accusations of fraud(https://druidmotorcyclecompanyinternational.weebly.com/news).
In the end, this concept was just a gag cleverly set up to illustrate how a few surreal ideas combined with good communication can make the press believe the irrational.
