Motorcycle endurance: FIM EWC 2025 calendar published

One month after the close of the 2024 season, marked by the Yoshimura SERT's victory at the Bol d'Or, the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship is already shaping up. The calendar for the 46ᵉ EWC season was recently unveiled.

FIM Endurance World Championship 2025: heading (already) for the next season

Following on from the 2024 season, which captivated fans right to the end, the next program will feature two 24-hour races and two 8-hour events. A classic and unmissable format, even if some evolutions are expected in the future.

Schedule for the 46ᵉ edition of the FIM EWC

The season kicks off with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans, from April 17 to 20, and closes with the Bol d'Or at the Circuit Paul Ricard, from September 18 to 21. Between these two major events, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit will host the Spa Motos 8 Hours on the weekend of June 6 and 7, while the 46ᵉ edition of the Suzuka 8 Hours will take place in August (1-3) in Japan.

Jean-Baptiste Ley, Director of Sports Events at Warner Bros Discovery Sports
We are delighted to continue with four major events that will remain at the heart of the EWC in 2025 [...] However, we are determined to expand the calendar and are actively working towards this. However, rising costs for the teams make this expansion difficult for the time being, despite the logistical support we have been able to provide in the past. We are therefore concentrating on developing the EWC pyramid and supporting new talent, to ensure the continued growth of endurance racing.

The four events will count towards the prestigious FIM Endurance World Championship, founded in 1960, as well as towards the FIM Endurance World Cup, as far as teams and manufacturers in the 'Superstock' category are concerned. As in 2024, 'Superstock' teams will be ranked on the basis of their three best results.

Another chance for success in 2025

In the absence of other dates, as desired, the big news for 2025 is the introduction of the FIM Production World Trophy, which will be contested at all three European rounds. This trophy will feature motorcycles more closely resembling the production models available in dealerships. In addition, the Yamaha R7 Endurance Series will complete the program, with support races at the 24 Heures Motos and the 8 Heures de Spa Motos.

Nevertheless, the stability and continuity of these flagship events are crucial for the teams and players in the discipline, including FSBK 2024 winner Kenny Foray, who will be able to prepare as well as possible for this exciting new season.
