presentation of the 1100 Tuono V4 2026
The fever escapes in an almost palpable metallic rattle. With a tense ear or a furtive glance, the brimstone of a brawl is subject only to the impatience of the starter. In a moment, the V4 will be barking out its rage, subjecting the new Tuono to envy and madness. You want a fight? We've got you covered! The opposite is available on demand with this new chapter in Aprilia's hyper-roadster.
The Tuono has always shaken up the world around it. A provocateur of emotions, backed by a high-flying chassis. It surprised even more with the previous model, adopting a (slightly) more road-going philosophy. An incongruity quickly overshadowed by today's more menacing profile.
Around its mischievous eyes, the beast has redesigned its fork head, adopting a bubble that goes all the way down to the headlamp quenches, but completely doing away with its former touring profile. Singular whiskers grow out from under the nose, air-influenced by the fashion for winglets. They're not there to look pretty, but rather to produce 2.5 kg of downforce at 250 km/h.
New side panels and more powerful fans help dissipate heat away from the legs.
The 1100 Tuono V4 bids farewell to the sabot, the almost GT-sport passenger seat, the roll bar... and the rear headlight; its functions are taken over by the turn signals, now multi-stained. The Tuono's user-friendliness is gone; the pleasure features have been transferred to the optional extras, as have the larger bridges for raising the handlebars.
A little black on the frame to finish off the design evos, and it's ready to make powder talk.
More powder!
The V4 has gained even more watts. In the clan of hyperfighters, such is the norm as well as destiny. To satisfy its own muscle-building dictates, it has increased in displacement from 1077 to 1099 cm3 - the same transition as its hypersport sibling, when the 2020 version gave way to an even more furious block.
A 52 mm larger fuel injection, a new exhaust system, plenty of rage and 5 more horsepower to reach 180 units at 13,800 rpm. It's a hard drug, a block that's looking for a quarrel with the Triumph 1200 Speed Triple and KTM 1390 SuperDuke. Opponents of choice.
Torque is unchanged, except that the 12.3 mkg maximum is housed a little higher, at 9,600 rpm. Aprilia didn't want to push its engine into the upper echelons where the M 1000 R and Streetfighter V4 gravitate. The sauce is already boiling hot enough, and the bike's chassis makes it possible to go very far in the field of muscular riding.

The frame and aluminum-reinforced swingarm are unchanged, as is the fully adjustable Sachs suspension. Enough to get the job done. Fans of refined damping will prefer the Factory version, fitted with semi-active Öhlins.
Strangely, the brake calipers are not Hypure (unlike the RSV4) or Stylema, but good old Brembo M50s. They're nonetheless excellent, with great feel and power; but they're getting a bit old. Aprilia is used to keeping abreast of technological developments. This is especially true when it comes to electronics. Although...
Evolving electronics according to desire and/or need
Aprilia has changed its approach to its electronic offspring. Abundance is still the order of the day, but in progressive doses. By this we mean that the Tuono V4 is equipped with certain assistances and offers more advanced ones as options.
From the outset, the bike comes with an inertial unit, new adaptive/predictive components, 3 riding modes, cornering ABS and the following modules in its APRC:
- Aprilia Traction Control ATC, adjustable on the fly on 8 levels, with a more efficient intervention logic and now working in synergy with the new ASC (Aprilia Slide Control) adjustable on 3 independent levels.
- AWC, Aprilia Wheelie Control, a wheelie control system adjustable on 3 levels, now featuring predictive operating strategies: the control does not intervene to abruptly attenuate a wheelie that has already begun, but acts smoothly before the event occurs, to the benefit of performance. The adaptive function, dedicated to track sessions, learns the rider's characteristics and adjusts the level of intervention required to guarantee the best performance.
- AEM, Aprilia Engine Map, with 3 different engine maps
- AEB, Aprilia Engine Brake, the engine braking control system with 3 levels of adjustment, including angle
- And AQS, the Up&Down shifter.
It's all included, but something's not quite right. The list seems short for a fire engine of this caliber. A little digging reveals that this Tuono V4 has lost some features since the previous model: cruise control, Launch Control, pit lane speed limiter, and 3 other riding modes. But...

In reality, all this has been moved to additional packs. If the original equipment is enough for you, we'll leave it at that. On the other hand, if you want to go further in the electronic management of your driving, you don't even need to go to the dealer. The Noale-based company has created its "store via app" to upgrade the bike remotely.
It starts with the "Track Pack", unlocking :
- A race instrumentation theme (on the 5-inch color TFT dashboard).
- ALC, Aprilia Launch Control, the start control system, adjustable on 3 levels.
- APL, Aprilia Pit Limiter, the system for selecting and limiting the maximum speed allowed in the pit lane.
- The all-new Aprilia Slide Control ASC, an adjustable function that prevents and limits rear-wheel side-slip. It too features predictive operating strategies.
Then there's the "Comfort Pack", with cornering lights and ACC cruise control.
Other baskets exist, but these are reserved for the Factory. This may come as a surprise, but the manufacturer's approach is not insignificant. Not a few users complain of an overdose of electronics. Here, the layer is limited and everyone can add as much as they like. If the price is adapted accordingly, curiosity could quickly turn to interest.
Ever more voracious, the Aprilia 1100 Tuono V4 takes a step forward in the race for power, as well as a leap to the side in terms of electronics. It gives its rider more choice, seemingly accompanying him in his evolution. But don't be in any doubt, it's all about one thing: burning up the road with the tension of a bow.
