in 2012, the Pesaro factory made a fine series of modifications to its trail bike, which is both somewhat adventurous at heart and very sporty in the cylinders. The suspension has been readjusted for greater efficiency and lower seat height. The injection system has been updated to make it smoother and more fuel-efficient. Finally, an effort has been made to improve the finish.

the spirit of this Italian trail bike remains very fast for its class. Just as the 3-legged Benelli can't stay put, the TRE-K lets itself be intoxicated by the scent of adventure in this Amazonas declination; to go rutting on the banks of the famous Amazon River? Certainly not dressed like this. But there's something about Amazonas, that scent of stony roads, that apprehension of branches whipping across the face, that note of exoticism that almost makes us imagine Indiana Jones at its side.

Quite simply because a pilot has embarked on an unusual adventure: behind the handlebars of a TREK modified and adapted to the South American continent (and the jungle that goes with it), this crew has covered 14,000 km in 13 stages across Brazil. Starting and finishing point: San Paolo - with wild lands, not always friendly animals, and an 1130 cm3 wildcat to tame.

this Trek 1130 Amazonas series is here to remind us of human adventure. The changes are minimal, but enough to make this Trek more of an off-road trail bike: spoked rims with nipple tires, hand protectors, petal-shaped brake discs to break up the landscape. No technical changes to report, the Amazonas being the Trek disguised as an adventurer.

Mouarfff... çà a trail ??? 17'' wheels, the pots that go underneath, the seat... no comment, certainly it has very good road qualities (engine, suspension...) but well, let's say it's the Italian TDM or varadero
