presentation of the Concept Stunt G 310 2015
With the world premiere of the Concept Stunt G 310 at South America's largest motorcycle show, BMW Motorrad presents a novel approach: an uncompromising interpretation of an aggressive yet agile stunt bike based on a single-cylinder prototype.
Chris Pfeiffer, with his experience as a four-time World and European stunt champion, was heavily involved in the development of the BMW Concept Stunt G 310:"Stunt riding is a demanding and multifaceted sport. Ideally, you need a bike that's compact and agile, but at the same time stable and robust. You need to find the right compromise between aggressiveness and control," explains Chris Pfeiffer.
compact proportions, high-flying agility.
The BMW Concept G 310 combines all these qualities, and shows them clearly at first glance: the innovative architecture of the new single-cylinder engine makes for extremely compact proportions. The cylinder is tilted backwards and the cylinder head rotated 180°. This architecture allows optimum positioning of the engine in the chassis, and a very short wheelbase despite a long rear swingarm, for maximum agility.
The lowered front axle and raised rear end promise highly dynamic handling. With the intake positioned at the front and the exhaust at the rear of the engine, the silencer has been positioned in an unusual position under the seat between the shock absorber and the engine. In this way, the exhaust silencer is optimally protected and does not interfere with the rider's freedom of movement. Even if the silencer is visually discreet, the sound emitted by the BMW Concept Stunt G 310 will leave no one indifferent.
emotional design in true BMW Motorrad style.
The side view of the Concept Stunt is characterized by a three-dimensional surface design that invariably evokes power. Precise lines and expressive contours create an impression of movement and speed, even when the bike is stationary.
With this in mind, the side covers on the fuel tank clearly accentuate this effect. All lines are turned towards the front wheel, emphasizing the agility of the BMW Concept Stunt G 310.
The front end of the BMW Concept G 310 is emphasized by the broad shoulders outlined by the tank covers. The tapered rear end promises highly dynamic handling.
The engine spoiler also accentuates the front end.

typical stunt equipment.
The numerous modifications are typical of a stunt bike, and were designed by Chris Pfeiffer in collaboration with the BMW Motorrad design team. Their simple aim was to create the best possible machine for an asphalt stunt rider. The lockable throttle ensures constant propulsion even when the rider no longer has his right hand on the handle. In addition, the transmission staggering has been adapted for optimum transmission of power to the rear wheel, while an oversized rear brake ensures optimum deceleration in all situations. A second brake caliper acts on the rear disc. This is controlled by a master cylinder positioned on the handlebars, enabling the rider to use the rear brake even when his right foot is no longer on the footrest in certain tricks. The master cylinder lever is positioned on the same side as the clutch lever, so that it can be used simultaneously if required.
The footrests located on the front wheel axle and at seat level are positioned to give the rider additional support during spectacular tricks.
The red-painted tubular engine guard is also typical of a stunt bike. Last but not least, the BMW Concept Stunt G 310 features a brand-new feature: a "stunt rail" at the rear, specially developed by BMW Motorrad. This machined aluminum rear section is wide open in the middle, allowing the rider to place his foot on it. Combined with the non-slip saddle, this specially designed rear section gives the rider a stable position.
modern colors and design.
The colors of the BMW Concept G 310 use the classic BMW Motorrad Motorsport base of white, blue and red in combination with the colors of the Brazilian flag in a modern interpretation.
Neon green and yellow are sure to attract attention. Light colors stretch the dynamic lines of the fairing. The heart of the bike, the powertrain, is treated with dark colors, further visually lowering the center of gravity.
Edgar Heinrich, BMW Motorrad Design Director, concludes:"The BMW Concept G 310 is a real eye-catcher. Everything about this concept is a call to ride and defy the laws of gravity."
