presentation of the F 750 GS 40 Years GS Edition 2021
It's been 40 years since the GS wheeled into a segment that's now impossible to ignore. The big trail, the touring trail, the maxi-trail.... It all began with the R 80 G/S. It's the mid-range GS models in the range that will pay tribute to these 4 decades, with the 750 at the head of the queue.
In addition to the minor evolutions of the F 750 GS, we discover a black color with bits of gray and a few patches of sunny ochre. This very agricultural yellow harkens back to the 80s, when BMW set the tone on its GS models, and boldly on the K1.
This special "40 Years GS Edition" deco is not lacking in aplomb. Especially with the matching hand guards. Underneath, there's a definite dose of extra goodies. The 'Comfort', 'Touring', 'Connected' and 'Dynamic' packs are installed to match the tribute. As a result, the on-board equipment jumps: Shifter, Pro Driving Modes, GPS pre-equipment, center stand, intelligent emergency call, alarm, tire pressure control, heated grips, ESA Dynamic electronic suspension, luggage racks, cruise control and Keyless Ride keyless entry system.
Add to this the goodies that the standard F 750 GS has earned for 2021. LED indicators, ABS Pro, a USB charger on the right of the cockpit are standard, ASC traction control has been replaced by DTC, and a few options have been added to the catalog. Dynamic engine braking and dynamic braking control (DBC) are now available in Pro driving modes. These include the preselection of up to four riding modes for the assignment of buttons on the right-hand handlebar controls (in combination with 'Connectivity' equipment). There's also a new, extra-low seat.
Powered by the same 83 cm3 twin as the F 850, but with less air, the F 750 GS is available with 77 hp - or reduced to 48 hp for A2 licenses. Built around a double-beam steel frame, 41 mm forks and 19- and 17-inch spoked wheels, the bike claims a ready-to-ride weight of 227 kilos. The 40th anniversary edition is also available on the 850 GS and Adventure models.
