presentation of the 125 NK 2026

The CFMoto 125 NK marks the Chinese brand's entry into the 125 cm³ motorcycle segment in France. Developed by the Modena40 design studio based in Rimini, Italy, this small bike takes the lines of the larger models in the "Naked" range, such as the 450 NK and 800 NK, while adapting these elements to the size and requirements of a 125 cm³ roadster.
While the initial prototype, unveiled at EICMA 2023, incorporated some very bold elements, such as a single-sided swingarm, SC-Project exhaust and carbon-fiber elements, the production version moves away from this, while retaining the essence of the overall design.

Starting with this point, the CFMoto 125 NK boasts a dynamic, modern look, with clean lines and controlled aggression. The bike takes up the visual signature of the NK models, with particular attention to detail. The slightly curved front fender is reminiscent of the Husqvarna Nuda, and the aluminum alloy wheels are fitted with 110/70 R17 tires at the front and 140/60 R17 at the rear, with the claim to ensure good grip on different types of terrain.

The CFMoto 125 NK doesn't just look good; it also offers a range of technologies and features that place it among the leaders in the 125 cm³ segment. At first glance, it has the potential..

CFMoto 125 NK: the art and the way?

Firstly, the CFMoto 125 NK's chassis is based on a tubular steel frame, a sturdy foundation for stable, responsive riding. At the front, the bike is equipped with an inverted fork that helps improve steering precision, ideal for tight turns or fast maneuvers. At the rear, a monoshock with adjustable preload boasts optimum comfort, while offering good control on a variety of surfaces. 130 mm of front and rear suspension rebound, defending a good compromise between comfort and sportiness, and proving suitable for different types of riding, whether in town or on more winding roads.

For braking, the CFMoto 125 NK is equipped with a 292 mm front disc, combined with a double-piston caliper, providing sufficient stopping power for a bike of this size. At the rear, a 220 mm disc with a single-piston sliding caliper completes the package. These brakes are also equipped with ABS, which guarantees greater safety in the event of sudden braking, particularly in wet or low-grip conditions. It also benefits from the TCS traction control system, demonstrating the bike's premium orientation. For a purpose whose relevance we doubt...

Above all, the CFMoto 125 NK houses a 124.2 cm³, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with DOHC (double overhead camshaft) timing. A modern configuration that optimizes engine performance and reliability. With a maximum power output of 10.6 kW (15 hp) at 10,500 rpm, this engine delivers 10.2 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm, enough to deliver its fair share of thrills to A1 category drivers. What's more, the 12:1 compression ratio facilitates combustion, while the wet multi-plate clutch guarantees smooth, reliable driving... on city streets or longer outings, with the 12.5-liter fuel tank providing satisfactory autonomy.

In terms of dimensions, the CFMoto 125 NK is 1,990 mm long, 800 mm wide and 1,065 mm high, giving it a compact, easy-to-handle silhouette. The 1,360 mm wheelbase ensures good stability, while the 780 mm seat height offers a comfortable riding position for all body types. Finally, with an unladen weight of 142 kg, the 125 NK is in the middle of the pack for its class, offering a good compromise between lightness and sturdiness.

CFMOTO-125NK-annonce-2025With its zephyr blue/black color scheme, the CFMoto 125 NK is sure to appeal to its target market.

A breath of modern air in the world of 125s

In terms of electronics, the 125 NK also makes a good impression. All lighting is LED, guaranteeing improved visibility and reduced energy consumption. The LED headlight features a distinctive light signature, as do the turn signals and taillight, which also benefit from LED technology. Instrumentation is handled by a 5-inch curved TFT screen, which displays a wealth of information on the bike's status, including speed, engine rpm, gear engaged, engine temperature, fuel consumption and much more.
In addition, a T-Box is available as an option, enabling the integration of connectivity features for an even more enriched riding experience.

With this motorcycle, the Chinese manufacturer aims to offer a model that is both accessible, high-performance and fun to ride, for young bikers or those looking for a motorcycle with a sporty look and modern equipment. By incorporating technologies less common in this segment, such as traction control, the CFMoto 125 NK promises to be a real competitor to other 125 cm³ models such as the Yamaha MT-125 or the KTM Duke 125. To be seen over time!
