CF Moto has broken new ground with the 800 MT. A medium-displacement trail bike aiming to compete with the F 850 GS, KTM 890 Adventure and Triumph Tiger at much lower prices, that's obvious! Just like its engine, from Katoche. The 790 cm3 twin has been taken over by the Chinese firm and adapted to the MT.

Already well equipped from the outset, whether in Sport or Touring trim, the Hangzhou trail bike goes one better in this "Limited Edition". It carries on its back everything needed to go far and long, as if it wanted to radiate from Sydney to Perth.
Why these Australian cities? Because this special series of 50 units will only be sold in this antipodean nation.

Disappointed........ But you're still here ;-). So let's take a look at this 800 MT. first of all , an exclusive "Sandstone" paint finish. A combination of adventure-green and sandy-beige, depicting a wanderlust costume. It's not ugly, just slightly evocative, and the decoration is accompanied by a black-painted engine and a stylized country (or route) on the fairing sides. But with the latitude indicated, it's certainly not Australia. At 39° North, you'll find the USA, Spain, Italy... and China.

Above all, the package comes complete with trekking-style luggage. The CF 800 MT Touring already had suitcase holders. Here, they are fitted with a top-case. This corresponds to 36 liters of load capacity for the rucksack, 35 for the left-hand case and 25 for the right-hand case, which has been cut back because of the exhaust pipe. Quick calculation = 96 liters of cargo.
That's a little less than Kawasaki's Grand Tourer pack, with its more on-road design and large top-case (47 L).

This trailer costs $16,490 AUD, i.e. $2,000 more than the standard Touring. The top case adds a little weight to a machine that's already not very light - 50 kilos heavier than an 890 Adventure - but whose wealth of equipment makes all the difference: fully adjustable Kayaba suspension, J. Juan 4-piston radial brake calipers.Juan radial calipers, 320 mm discs, adjustable windscreen, handguards, engine skid plate, center stand, package holder, additional headlights, crash bars, spoked wheels, 7-inch TFT instrument panel, Bluetooth, 2 riding modes but no traction control, cruise control, USB and 12V sockets, tire pressure monitoring, heated grips and seats, Up&Down shifter, steering damper... Wow!
The 95-hp twin-cylinder may lack a little smoothness at low revs, and a bit of trunk space, but the chassis is beyond reproach.
