The company was founded in 1974 by Bob Fox. Originally focused on the creation of motocross suspension prototypes, Fox suspensions quickly gained recognition for their performance in competition, with notable motocross victories as early as the 70's. Over the years, Fox diversified beyond motocross to equip a wide range of vehicles, including ATVs (where they became a benchmark), automobiles (all-terrain vehicles, trucks, buggies), snowmobiles and, of course, motorcycles.
