Motorcycle specifications Ducati959 PANIGALE Corse 2019 Road racing

With the arrival of the Panigale V4, the 959 became the only twin-powered Superbike in the range(apart from the very expensive 1299 Final Edition). An opportunity to assert itself, almost to take up the torch. But make no mistake. Most of the glory and image of Superbike will go to the V4. And yet, with this Panigale 959 CORSE, you can expect a very tight ride out of the corners.
Yet the 959 Panigale has nothing to worry about in terms of its potential. Galvanized by a generous block, it's got what it takes to take on many a competitor. With the inflation of the displacement of Bologna's "small" Superbikes, it now offers as much power as the 999, the flagship of the range 10 years ago.
This is the perfect opportunity to produce a more muscular, more premium, more efficient series. And to take an old name out of the box. We've seen some fine Italian models in the 848 and 1098 Corse Edition. The 959 takes up the challenge, with a MotoGP-inspired racing look, sprinkled with a matte finish like the 1299 Superleggera.
The 959 Corse is equipped with Akrapovic titanium exhausts, a lithium battery, Öhlins steering damper and suspension components from the same Swedish manufacturer. A 43 mm NIX 30 inverted fork and TTX36 shock absorber are fitted. Unfortunately, the bike retains its Brembo M4.32 brake calipers. Very good stuff, though - why, alas? We'd have liked M50 clamps, more in keeping with a racing name. And a pair of forged rims would have been nice too.
With the Panigale 959 Corsica Edition and the 1299 Panigale Final Edition, Ducati isn't putting its twin, which has been a staple of several generations of racers, to rest. The story doesn't end, it just takes on a different form. The 959 Corse is sure to bring a taste of the track to the road.
