presentation of the CVO 1870 LIMITED FLHTKSE 2017
never before has a Harley Touring delivered so much. Luxury, the open road, CVO excellence, and a new dimension of panache with the addition of a promising new engine.
Enormous, unprecedented, the Milwaukee Eight is in all its glory in this CVO 1870 Limited. This is the biggest ever version of this powerplant. Named 114, it refers to its cubic capacity in American measurements. Here, its cubic capacity is identified in cm3, and rises to 1868. We're talking over 100 horsepower right off the crankshaft, and torque-wise, enthusiasts are in for a treat. The M8 114 ci spits out 16.8 mkg. An ox! That's 1 mkg more than the previous 110 ci. Performance-wise, it claims to be 8% faster from 0 to 100 km/h, and 12% faster from 100 to 130 km/h.
a new block with 4 valves per cylinder, liquid-cooled cylinder heads, greatly increased intake and exhaust flow, and a new clutch.assist & Slip clutch, which reduces lever effort by 7%, and a balancer that cancels out 75% of vibrations at idle. Rest assured, Harley's character and "good vibes" are preserved. To find out more about the Milwaukee Eight engine, click here ->
another notable change is the suspension. Harley bought an SDBV fork from Showa for greater performance and consistency. The rear shock absorbers abandon air technology for a tried-and-tested emulsion. Preload is extended from 15% to 30% with a single hydraulic adjustment knob. No more need for tools and pumps to adjust rear damping, which is also claimed to be very stable over time.
this is no longer a ship or a queen, but an empress of the road. Imposing in size, quality, equipment, price and vocation, the CVO 1870 Limited combines many of the superlatives of its microcosm.

the Electra 1745 Limited already provided plenty to make us salivate, especially since the evolution of the Rushmore project. So, logically, it provides the CVO with a number of fine features, such as the revised Batwing fairing with central air intake, the BOOM 6.5 GT multimedia station with GPS, touchscreen and USB playback, a good-looking passenger seat, Reflex ABS, Daymaker headlights, improved panniers and Pak touring, cruise control, heated grips, One-Touch locking of various elements... Don't waste any more.
that's not enough for you... I agree. Given the stifling price tag, you're entitled to expect more. Like the high-quality paintwork with hand-painted Thunderblade motifs; or the heated seat with dual controls; or the polished chrome Contrast Chrome Slicer wheels, the LED lights, a selection of beautiful parts from Harley's catalog - the Airflow collection includesthe Airflow collection includes heated grips combining black rubber and shiny chrome, a brake pedal and gearshift, rider and passenger footrests with complementary brake and gear levers - and the BOOM multimedia center, which offers a number of exclusive features, only available on this CVO Limited. The GPS offers 3D landmarks, 3D drawings, and three software updates over five years - the amplifier outputs 75 watts instead of 25 per channel, and 16 GB of storage are available in the Jukebox.
more equipment was added in 2016, with the appearance of tire pressure monitoring, which can be checked at any time on the dashboard. A transponder key has replaced the two remote controls, and the turn signals are LED. The driver's seat has been revised in 2017 for greater comfort.
totally unreasonable, absolutely intoxicating, equipped with the luxury worthy of Swiss watches and MoCo's standard-bearer, the CVO 1870 Limited and its majestic Milwaukee Eight 114 take the crew far beyond the journey.
