presentation of the X-11 CB 1100 SF X-Eleven 2000

honda has struck hard with this big roadster unlike any other. Imposing, beastly, oozing power, the X11 benefits from a pencil stroke that may disturb, but is sure to turn heads. The look is massive, yet stylized right down to the meters. The dashboard is a superb little sculpture, with the luxury of surprising protection. Although the public didn't take to it, the X Eleven has everything it takes to be the roadster of the 21st century: aluminum perimeter frame, Dual-CBS brakes, HMAS-type suspension, and watts galore. The powerplant is taken from the CBR 1100 XX, reworked to produce more torque. Horsepower drops to 136 hp, while the torque curve is also increased.

as supple and velvety as ever, the engine transforms the big roadster into a veritable cannonball. Acceleration is enormous, and acceleration is dazzling. According to some media reports, the X11 is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.47 sec. Better than hypersports! Sitting in a more sporty than roadster position, it's a pleasure to ride this punchy machine with ease. Honda has successfully prioritized efficiency over comfort: the machine is riveted to the ground, attacking curves and twists with superb ease. It will be less at ease in town, where its turning radius and substantial weight are definite handicaps. You'll need a firm grip for maneuvers, and beware of a certain inertia. Braking is a delight: powerful and almost as effective as ABS. Despite its qualities, the X11 suffered from its ambiguous positioning and offbeat aesthetics. A handsome machine, but the public shunned it, perhaps unjustly...

Street handlebars and comfort saddle?
French priarik Model 1999
After 10 years without a motorcycle (47 years old, 1.88 m), I bought a 1999 X11 in full, with scorpion pots. This bike is incredibly easy to handle (as soon as it's running...), powerful and reassuring (roadholding, braking etc...), but it's uncomfortable and tiring in the long run... Has anyone found a better position (less leaning forward) with street handlebars? And a comfort saddle, once you've settled down, could be a more relaxed position? Rating : 4/5

I'm 1m73 and 67kg, and I'll be working on other projects later (airbox for the blackbird xx 1100, exhaust system change, dyno for airbox and exhaust system adjustment, I'm switching to aviation hoses as I write this, she's at the dealership to be upgraded to led headlights and sequential turn signals, otherwise she's full 136hp, she breathes much better and 1st gear doesn't kick in when accelerating. I bought this bike new as soon as it came out, and it's a joy to ride, with a look that's out of the ordinary. In the end, you don't see much of it, and I'm fine with that ^^ and it still calms down a lot of bikes, even recent ones ahahaha ^^ Rating : 5/5

It's great to stay young and passionate.
I'm 65 and I'm on my 26th bike.
Actually, x11, the only thing that strikes me is that there's only one exhaust pipe, when normally there should be two.
See you soon, maybe.

X11.... the BE(A)ST
French Alex Model 2002
X11... the code name for an engineer's delirium that Master Soichiro would not have denied. Broad-shouldered, chest puffed out (and there's plenty of breath...), the big fawn, despite its weight of muscle, produces the lightning acceleration of a cheetah, with the agility of a panther, and the power of a lion..., all with the endurance of a wolf. It certainly takes a bit of grip to pull it all off, but she rewards effort with constant pleasure. It may not be a ballerina in town, but its suppleness and the long ratios of its 5-speed gearbox compensate for the dragster's turning radius (it is a dragster, after all...), and as soon as you get out of it, you're in for a treat! It takes its crew (including duos) on a rail at supersonic speeds with disconcerting naturalness, knows how to brake on an angle, correct a trajo if necessary, eat almost anything on two or four wheels raw (swallow, gobble...) at a green light, play scooter on steroids for lazy shifters (fourth gear starts again at thirty and doesn't stop before 250 rpm), and it never gets sick. Now, as a token of objectivity (you didn't doubt it ;), two shortcomings: when, like me, you drive more than 20,000 km/year (it's my only vehicle, I work far from home, I go out a lot and I travel from time to time), unless you have a budget that I don't, you can't fit it with sport tires that never reach 3,000 km, and it's not particularly at ease on the racetrack, where the toe clearance is really too tight, even with 190 at the rear, and where the dual CBS, great on wet or doubtful roads, becomes a handicap. There's plenty to laugh about, but no time hunting. On a daily basis on the road, however, it will take pleasure in spoiling all those in front on trackday, even with PR5/6s or RS3s that do the job perfectly, including in very sporty driving. As you may have gathered, I love my X11 (the 2nd one), all original except for full throttle (much more than the 136 hp modestly advertised, by the way), with reinforced front springs (maybe I'll give it an EMC one of these days), and my buddies are dreading it.
A quinca that's 28 again as soon as it's on its wheel, which itself is 25, which is hardly conceivable given its current performance, without electronics driving it for you....

I was looking for a duo bike because the Z 750 for 2 is tough, especially when you're over 20
A friend of mine gave me some good advice and got me the beast. And I have to say, you should always listen to those who know
I use it as a tool for daily commuting and weekend rides
It's my first large-displacement bike, and also my first Honda
After 10 minutes, you feel like you've always been on it
The only drawback is the position, which I'm going to remedy with street handlebars, but it's not unbearable - it's age.
In a nutshell, don't be fooled by appearances - although you won't go unnoticed - and bull terrier fans will find this bike to be just like them: atypical, but endearing and unfailing

Help
French Model 2000
Hello, I'm faced with a dilemma because this bike appeals to me and seems to meet the criteria of an atypical machine that can be used every day on the outskirts of town. But I also have my eye on a gpz 1100, which is more dated in its genre and has a lot to offer
If one of the forum readers could share their experience with me, that would help
Sincerely

I had a first X11 in the 2000s that had already made a huge impression on me..
Unfortunately, I sold it to my best friend, and now I'm still riding it, so I had no choice but to look for another X11, which I found in the same configuration as the one I sold to my best friend....
And for nothing in the world will I sell it again, it will follow me to hell!

Honda X11 2000
French Model 2000
I fulfilled an old dream when I bought this X11 4 years and 20,000km ago. At the time, it had 12,000km and served me daily in the Paris region, whether it snowed, sold, rained or froze.... without the slightest fault. Since moving to the Pyrenees, I've used it a little less, but paradoxically enjoy it a lot more on mountain roads. I love this bike: powerful (even in the legal version. It would be easy and tempting to have it de-rigged, but I don't want to have any worries in the event of a problem), top road holding and braking, reliability, finish, ease of maintenance.... I could only reproach it with a slightly too "sporty" position and the absence of ABS, but the dual-CBS already does the job very well. The previous owner gave her an EMC shock absorber, and I've just switched to LED headlights (to see better at night, not for tuning). It now has 32,000km and still runs perfectly. Only the paint on the crankcases is starting to peel a little. So of course, after 4 years I'd like to change it, but for what? The XJR injection, the CB 1300 and the CB 1100 RS have caught my eye, but given the X11's price, the amount of money to be added, and the lack of pleasure to be expected from the swap (I'd lose the dual-CBS, the aluminum perimeter frame and the Honda reliability of the 90s). The VFR 1200 or the FJR would be better suited to my needs (120km to work), but the purchase price and running costs would be double or tripled, and I'd be moving away from my philosophy of motorcycling (a frame, a big engine and wheels). Ultimately, if I could afford it, I'd go for a Harley Fat Bob 114, but this is getting into the realms of the unreasonable. What's more, every time I re-run the ad to sell it, I feel like keeping it because I'm so convincing...... ^^ so I think I'll keep it for a while longer, at least I'm not riding Mr. Everyman's bike. In short, even 20 years later, it's still a great bargain, rock solid and not at all ridiculous in today's traffic (that's the advantage of having been ahead of its time when it came out). Aie mes bras!
French Model 2000
Initially (in 2016), I was looking for an "oldschool" motorcycle, a time machine.
I was focused on a 750VFR carat model between 1990 and 1993. I had a great opportunity on the corner, 1st hand, not too many bollards, in its juice, nickelle. Except that it was impossible to contact the advertiser. In his ad was written "Possible exchange for the mythical X-11".
- I thought to myself. The X-11 I'd seen when I was taking my 2-wheel driving test. I loved that bike. It had a devastating face. A road monster.
And I looked... And I found .... a 2000 at 71Kkm, scorpion pot with short baffles. Well, I don't regret it. More powerful than my last tomblon, which was a 1300XJR. With a personal saddle, comfort is very good.
Everyone loves my bike. Many can't believe its age, because it hasn't aged a day. Only the original headlight and the rounded rear fairing reveal its age.
But it turns! It brakes! It tugs at the handle.
It's all GOOD, girls!

A bike that made me dream when it first came out, and even more so since I've owned it!
A joy to ride, playful in spite of its weight, pleasant to ride as a duo (I've just done over 1,000 km with my wife). Some people criticize its sheer weight (it's close to 300kg), but once underway it's a piece of cake. Personally, I have nothing but praise for it. Proud to be an Xman ;-)

I bought a new X11 in 2000 and I've never been able to part with it. I bought a goldwing 1800 for my wife's comfort, but I've never let go of my X11 for the gold or I get really bored, even though the gold works hard (harder than you'd think, because even with a sport bike in front, you'll always see the gold behind you in your mirrors, chasing after you, and as the miles go by, the gold takes over because it doesn't get tired like the sport bike). i'd also like to point out that my X11 is a bike, of course, compared to the weight of the Gold, and fortunately I've kept it, so I can get a feel for the bike that you don't get on the Gold, because I've compared it to a big Scania. bonne route a tous Rating : 5/5

Discovered by chance when I was looking for a 1000Vtr that the insurance company refused to insure, I fell for an X_Onze! What a joy this machine is, with its insane torque, performance that surprises hayabusa owners at red lights, reasonable comfort for a roadster, and a chassis that's still up to scratch! I kept it for a year because my curiosity led me to other models, but after two years of riding 1000 Monster S2Rs, ZX9Rs and other "sensational" bikes, I missed my 11 too much, and I'll be looking for it next Sunday! As a motorcycle tuner, I've had the opportunity to test quite a few machines. The x11 isn't the best machine in the world, that's for sure, but it's still the bike I've fallen in love with:

-Top-notch CBS braking
-Negligible weight after 10km/h
-Very decent chassis for this type of bike
-Ultra-torquey engine, 5-speed gearbox amply sufficient (with 2 on the machine, in 5th gear, at 2000rpm on an uphill gradient, the bike took off again without a second thought)
-Tested on a circuit (Carole no less!), a little heavy to take along, but in curves it feels like a train on rails, and the acceleration....monstruuses! With a top speed (original gearing) approaching 295km/h on the odometer!

It's a pity this machine wasn't a big hit in France, certainly due to its looks and technological innovations for its time (2000-2001), as it was certainly THE ROADSTER of the 2000s.
For the record, my X11 is fitted with two Devil Magnum Carbon mufflers, PowerCommander3, KN filter, modified airbox and camshaft preparation: the gex 1000 and other hypersports can go :)

i'll be 20 years old next year, and it's been 3 years since I sold my CBR900RR ... I said goodbye to the sport for good a few months later when a colleague died on a motorcycle (R1) ... but here I am, a few months ago, I'm back ... I'm buying a complete set of equipment and I'm looking for a new steed.
Nothing appeals to me, ugly old Bandit. XJR, I already had one and I want to stay with Honda..., so I spend 8 months making up my mind.
Then I come across a superb second-hand 2000 X11 with 9000km ...
why not, I give it a try and it's top-notch. A much more powerful XJR engine (unbridled 140hp) with a chassis that doesn't hop and holds the pavement, a firm, well-spaced gearbox...
apart from the hard suspension, it's really one of the best bikes I've ever owned (among others, FJ1200, XJR1200, FZR1000, ZXR750, 2 CBR900RR...)
acceleration is better than a Vmax 1200...
if you get a chance to try it... I'm in love !!!!!!!!!!!!

bjrs tous, cette x11 est vraiment à conseiller tant elle donnera de plaisir ,autonomie(22L), puissance ,tenue de cap, fiabilité béton, elle est démoniaque à piloter et laisse un max de grosses sportives aux feux ou en reprise c'est un vrai obus! ses défauts : le poids (manoeuvres à pieds),suspension arrière un peu "sèche" ,consommables (vu le poids et la puissance)et voila tout ,mais contact!...1st, throttle (very light throttle!)otherwise it's a front wheel in the air! from 10 km/h it's a real bike, easy and captivating, mine (2000) has 80,000 km and I can't find a replacement (I thought of 1 k1200r bm except that the engine has a nasty tendency to lose its connecting rods "reliable bm??) so I'm still waiting for the pearl of a replacement!...any ideas? I'm listening .... Rating : 5/5

I've had my X11 for 3 years now and the handling on twisty roads is delightful! It tears up the tarmac... In terms of looks and sound, it's really very pretty if you take the trouble to change the pots (high position) and paint the 2 side covers the same color as the gas tank... When my X11 gives up the ghost (in a long time, given its excellent reliability), I'll take one back... Rating : 5/5

i bought this bike about a year ago, I've owned a few others, but it's true that it's a nice bike, with what you need when you want to "wrench" (not good for the tires) but a delight. bravo honda even if this machine hasn't been a great success. Rating : 5/5

slt to all, i've got 26 licenses and 14 bikes under my belt, the x11 is a phenomenon, holding course, acceleration, riding with the wind in my nose...aesthetics, radia scoops and carbon sabot engine cases, wheel washers, wheel arches, a little wind hop, and racing exhausts that go well (they're for sale) all in full power, I guarantee you, small arms abstain... as strong as my last Vmax on the tear-off side... go bye, be careful... I've had my license for almost 20 years, and I've had a lot of roadsters, GPZ 750s, FJ1200s, 1000CBRs, even 1500Golds, but the X11 is the one I'll always remember best. I kept it for 5 years (1999-2004), and only sold it to keep my license... (170km/h in second gear...) I couldn't find a fault with it. You can criticize its weight, but it's not a hypersport (even if it does bury a few), so... Rating : 5/5

Well, I want an X11 precisely because few people own it and because it has nothing but good reviews ..
Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to find a second-hand one, if not at prohibitive prices
So if you know a seller who's not too greedy !!!!
