presentation of the 125 GF 2000

a bio-design trend for this little Hyosung tourer, powered by an unpretentious but sufficient 4-stroke single-cylinder engine. The GF is obvious to drive, easy to handle and rather well equipped. Electric starter backed up by a kick (in case the starter fads), double horn, center stand and fuel gauge. A very urban bike, but one that tall people won't find to their liking.

I've just bought this little "utility" car. A second-hand model (2000) that I managed to get for 1000 euros, even though it doesn't even have 2000 kms on it... First observation: you can get a real bargain with lesser-known brands! As a recent Parisian, I was looking for a small, discreet, economical and robust 125 to get around the capital...and I think this Hyosung fits the bill perfectly. The ride is pleasant, as is its handling. The engine has a very pleasant sound (a real motorcycle noise...) and delivers decent power for urban use. Being tall (188 cm), I don't feel cramped at the handlebars, but I do regret the lack of travel when shifting gears. The left tibia/foot joint is quite compressed, but you soon get used to it. On the other hand, I like the wide, very comfortable seat. I haven't taken stock of fuel consumption yet, but the technical data sheet claims less than 4 liters of 98/100 km, for a range of over 300 km (14-litre tank), which is not bad for a 125. Braking is effective, but the original tires are of poor quality and very slippery, especially on wet surfaces. Keep an eye on them, or change them as soon as possible. One final criticism: the basic version doesn't come with a luggage rack...which has to be added if you want to fit a top-case...It's also inconvenient to fit the anti-theft device...but at this price... Magnum Rating : 5/5
