We 're faced with a moment of ambiguity. How can this Chief be called a Bobber when the Chief itself has become a bobber? Is the name just one facet? Is Springfield's custom revival swimming against the tide? Wanting to be reduced to the essentials while retaining an idea of imposing presence helps to provoke a hell of a lot of brain-juice. Okay, this Dark Horse Chief Bobber won't sit still.

Both feature a double-cradle tubular steel frame - a break with the aluminum profile structure of the previous generation - 300 mm brake discs (1 per wheel), a 46 mm fork mated to a pair of shock absorbers, a 15-liter fuel tank, triple injection mapping, keyless start, color TFT circular speedometer with phone control, GPS function and multiple functionalities, USB charger, 12V socket, cruise control, ABS and LED headlamp.

Does it get any more bobber than this? We've become accustomed to this kind of eugenics, lyrical naming and flavored presentation.
There's only one way to really grasp it: take it out alone between the night of the streetlamps and the character of the asphalt. That's if you're willing to pay a hefty premium over the Chief.
