presentation of the VN 800 Classic 2000
the custom wave has enabled the category to renew itself with gusto, which has benefited the medium-displacement bikes. The VN 800 immediately made a name for itself when it arrived on the market. Although hailed as a benchmark, the arrival of competition from the Suzuki Marauder 800 and Honda Shadow 750, not to mention the Yamaha Drag Star 650, could have given it a few grey hairs. But don't worry, the Kawa has a lot going for it. Starting with its smooth, torquey engine. It's long and responsive, and outperforms the competition. But where the VN is most attractive is in its design, which mimics post-war Harley style. Big front wheel, imposing fork sleeves, copious mudguards, double seat and pretty tank... It looks like something out of an American factory. Even the air filter cover looks like it came from a Harley. Since we like this style, we might as well take advantage of it, right Mr. Kawa!?!!

i'm 59 years old and I've owned this beauty for 15 years
This bike is timeless, I do all the mechanical maintenance, I'm often told when I park (I live in a town of 12,000 inhabitants in the southwest) that my bike is beautiful, people say wow! she super your bike! it's a harley? grrrrr .... Nah! it's outdated Harley... I just tell them it's a Kawasaki vn classic (the chrome is shiny but not overdone) and its original look turns heads on the streets
I'm still as happy with it as the first day I got it. What's more, it's not too heavy, and doesn't guzzle too much petrol, in short, I'm really delighted with it. To part with it... not even in my dreams! thank you! Rating : 5/5 Respond to didier
A young A2 license holder, the Kawasaki looks pretty good to us, and above all, it's got a nice look
On the other hand, we are looking for information on maintenance and reliability
The ads we are seeing suggest motorcycles from 96/98. Does this seem reasonable to you?
Thanks for the information, we're novices Rating : 5/5 Respond to Nanou

comfort, it's true, isn't top-notch, but with a good seat, it gets better.
Good torque, good stance, not too heavy, it's reassuring right from the start.
a real treat. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Dicknroll
