Motorcycle specifications Kawasaki1400 GTR Grand Tourer 2016 Why take an airbus?!

Touring

in the Kawasaki range, the 1400 GTR is much more than a touring bike. Derived from the ZZR missile, this long-distance motorcycle is more of a fast cruiser than an ocean liner. And to enhance its touring potential, the "Grand Tourer" edition adds an extra touch of fun. The most visible and indispensable of these is the body-colored top-case. With its 47-liter capacity, it transforms the passenger seat into a small armchair where you can wedge yourself in and effortlessly resist the acceleration of the 155 hp engine. Still in the luggage department, there's a pack of pannier interiors. Water-resistant and rigid, they provide optimum storage for your belongings; one of the two can be carried over the shoulder thanks to its shoulder strap. That way, you can pack your mess in one and your picnic in the other.
The rest of the equipment is more discreet, but appreciated on a daily basis: a 3-part semi-transparent tank protector, a set of protective films for the panniers, and a GPS holder. Thus equipped, the green GT weighs a few kilos and half a thousand euros more. This Grand Tourer edition combines the travel horizon with the model's evolutions:

the seat has been redesigned to make it easier for the rider to put his feet on the ground, and for the passenger to gain in comfort and support. The windshield is still electrically adjustable, just with the left thumb, and now features a 2-position adjustable window at its base. This opening reduces turbulence for the rider.
The greens take the opportunity to redesign the ABS module, which is more compact and offers greater precision. A touch of class: stainless steel crowns on the meters. On the mechanical side, the 1st gear has been shortened and the ECU recalibrated to facilitate take-off. With its generous engine, did this vessel really need it? But we're not going to turn down a little extra flexibility. As for the steering, a new fork shaft seal makes it a little lighter. Oh, and the rear suspension settings have been revised to better accommodate heavy loads.

broadly speaking, the 1400 GTR remains true to its philosophy, with plenty of features to get you far with the right equipment. For hand comfort, heated grips are standard, and once you've had a taste of them, it's hard to do without the 1400 GTR's extras: kIPASS keyless start system, tire pressure monitoring, 12 V socket, Tetra-lever cardan shaft, glove box on the tank, 14 mkg of torque and 155 hp underneath, KTRC, traction control, K-ACT, assisted braking 2nd-generation coactive braking - the rider has 2 possible choices of braking management depending on his style and/or driving conditions, its 37-liter suitcases, the large top-case, the selection of power modes, and the little taste of ZZR it has in the pistons. The competition in its segment is tough, but that doesn't seem to impress it.
