presentation of the NINJA H2 2019
Kawasaki's launch of the most demonic production motorcycle ever dared a folly that no one dared to hope for. Dedicated to the racetrack, the H2R knows no times, no roads, and almost no limits. And so, its progenitor gave it some with a civilian version, the Ninja 1000 H2. With the same shape, chassis and compressor, it only suffered from the comparison in that its power output was lowered to 200 hp, the carbon fairing was lost, and its on-road equipment was almost unassuming. But when the compressor started to feed the 4-cylinder, we felt another dimension opening up.
2019 will regale all that a little. With the recent arrival of the H2 SX having made engineers' motoring brains smoke, it's only right to take advantage of technical updates to boost the H2. And then, in terms of prestige, it was time to mark the occasion. With the Sport-GT offering the same watts (but distributed differently), and the ZX-10 R also boasting 200 horsepower under a hypersport weight (32 kg lighter), how could this sporty machine of a different calibre feel at ease with its extra power?
So let's get to work! And we add watts, lots of them, to take it to the next level and calm everyone down. By recovering the ECU, intake chamber, spark plugs and airbox from the compressed SX, the new H2 now spits out 231 horsepower!!!! And the figure climbs to 242 units when the forced-air system is taken into account. Almost frightening. And symbolic: you won't find more power at any other manufacturer's dealership.
And most astonishing of all, a drop in fuel consumption has been announced. That's no luxury. During our test of the first 1000 H2, the fuel tank emptied almost as fast as the needle on the rev counter.

Efforts have also been made on the paintwork. Already on release, the H2 sported a "mirror" finish that shifted from black to chrome-silver depending on light and viewing angle. Now, it can repair itself. For minor snags. Under ambient temperature conditions, it can "self-repair" minor scratches and scuffs in a very short space of time.
The instrumentation also benefits from an update, with a distinctive H2 SX SE-style meter block and color digital window. It's a pity, though, that we've lost the specificity of the rev counter's digits, which lit up as the revs rose on theold H2. But we have gained Bluetooth connectivity to display certain information on a smartphone (fuel level, battery status, vehicle maintenance intervals, call/SMS/email notification, etc.).
good work for this "reloaded" H2, which knows how to refine itself over time. Since its first appearance, it has progressively gained an Öhlins shock absorber, an up&down shifter, an IMU inertial unit, active ABS for cornering, and fine-tuned riding aids. On the other hand, there's still no one to look at the "gigantic" exhaust blower.
right from the start, it has charmed, almost stunned, with its technical solutions. Its compressor, of course, with its electrifying blast and shot. But also its steel trellis frame, its monobar (a first for Kawa), its superb rear rim, its ultra-fast gearbox with untraceable neutral, its Kayaba AOS-II fork, its sharp design and its single-seater configuration. Overprotected by electronics, the H2 features a ride-by-wire throttle, shifter, inertial reference system, engine brake control, stop-start assistant, traction control at the front and rear.3 modes and 9 levels of traction control, cornering ABS and an Öhlins steering damper that hardens according to speed.
It's as if the Ninja H2 had just shifted up into 7th gear, in order to jettison those who might have wanted to give chase. Going beyond the limits of reason seems to have become its motto.

What can I say, it's a stradivarius, a bike as soon as your feet leave the ground. You can ride it very coolly, and if you feel like it, turn the handle just a little to enter another world. It doesn't accelerate... it catapults. In short, I've had it in my hands for 7 hours, and I've had the time of my life on a machine. Rating : 5/5 Respond to beau

Those who have tried racing against S1000RRs or R1s are just kooks who don't know how to use it. I saw a video where a ZX10R and a new R1 were getting cleaned up by an H2. It's a fabulous machine that you have to tame, it pulls on your arms, and you really have to be careful on the first few meters. I can understand why guys are dosing off on videos with the H2R's extra 100hp. Don't keep harping on about your S1000RRs when you see the number of models that have been marketed and the way they look after a few years. An H2 will always be an exceptional machine that will age well, and there's no need to stamp it HP4 or HP25. Rating : 5/5 Respond to JGAROFA
Personally, I was looking for exclusivity and a technological showcase, so I'm delighted. It's a great bike, and I highly recommend it. For me, the price is as justified as a Panigale S or another Mv agusta f4 rr.
Have a great evening. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Joce

I have a hard time seeing where Kawa is put in its place by the suz. A ZZR1400 always atomizes the buzz, and being in the same niche, unlike the H2, which plays in another category.
Hayabusa was good, but it's outdated: at least Kawa is evolving. Rating : 4/5 Respond to Claude
While the H2R is a fine project, the H2 doesn't bring much to the production line. . Rating : 1/5 Respond to LeLogique
