presentation of the Z H2 SE 2021

From Greek mythology to the latest episodes of The Avengers, history is populated by surprising and overpowering creatures. The Kawasaki Z H2 is one of them. Capturing all its madness leads even the most dedicated riders to ask for more.

More horsepower? No need (except for the ego)! The roadster already has enough to propel you into geostationary orbit. As an SE, it benefits from pilot-controlled suspension like the ZX-10R or H2 SX+ models. With the added bonus of Showa's Skyhook technology, introduced on the second Versys 1000 SE. Braking is also more efficient, with better Brembo calipers.

Thanks to this premium version, Akashi's hyper-fighter finally has brake shoes to match its pressurized spirit. The Z H2's M4.32s are already high-calibre, but for a machine of this disproportion, it's better to tap into Brembo's top-of-the-range Stylema. Power galore, with more direct response and less heat build-up. They'll have their work cut out for them when it comes to calming those 240 kilos chasing the speed of sound.

Today , all fire pumps have a version with electronic suspension. The Streetfighter V4 S and Tuono V4 Factory rely on Öhlins. The Z H2 relies on compatriot Showa. The 43 mm SFF-BP inverted fork and BFRC Lite shock absorber are equipped with solenoid valves that react in 1 millisecond. The KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) uses various sensors and an inertial unit to transmit adjustment commands for real-time damping. The Skyhook, meanwhile, supervises everything to keep the bike as stable as possible.
The laws governing the suspension are conditioned by the riding mode selected. The mappings - Sport, Road, Rain, or the configurable Rider - influence both the chassis and the electronic assistants.

Kawasaki 1000 Z H2 SE they 're the same as on the standard Z H2. It's as simple as that on a hypersport bike. Shifter Up&Down, Riding Mode, KTRC traction control, KCMF cornering control, KIBS anti-lock braking system with angle adaptation, Power Modes, cruise control, KLCM standing start assistant... and for the rider to keep an eye on it all, a color screen with smartphone connectivity.

Let 's not forget (as if it were possible ;-) the essential, the soul of this Z H2. Its supercharged engine spitting out a whopping 200 horsepower. It was a 1000 four-cylinder, but thanks to its supercharger, the character is explosive and the torque reaches a maximum of 14 mkg at 8,500 rpm. In other words, the same Ovaltine as the Superduke's 1300. Just what you need to turn this millstone into a surreal cannonball.

The Z H2 SE comes in a single two-tone color. Quite elegant, in fact, with its black depth enlivened by the green applied to the trellis frame, hoof, tank and other elements. Kawa has not retained the self-repairing paint it uses on certain parts of other SE models. Unconvincing or unconvinced?

The Z H2 SE's ennobled chassis allows Kawasaki to go head-to-head with the toughest roadsters on the market. It's not about sport or racing, and it's even less about being a daredevil when you ask your turbine for a storm... It's about adrenalin under pressure.

French Gazorus Model 2024
1st unsuccessful test ride for me (kawa tour) then I said to myself what if I tried it again without acting like a clown and there this bike takes on its full dimension, a voluptuous engine a very comfortable chassis and a good finish the aesthetics remain rather bizarre for many but who cares, about to sign the order form Rating : 5/5

It's great to feel this engine. Admittedly, this bike is a little heavier than the others, but that's all there is to it.
The engine feels too good, and the electronics help you get past 200 hp...but I'm worried about the tires with 14 mkg of torque. I LOVE
