presentation of the 125 Black Seven Café Racer 2018
On a rainy evening, in the shadow of a brawl, the 125s were getting into trouble. The Seventy-Five and its Café-Racer cousin were expressing a childish jealousy of the Black Seven. And with a touch of mockery, they sped off at first light on the asphalt.
Of course, this would make everyone laugh... But not Black Seven. She saw this as a direct affront. Worse, an outrage. And she had to wash it off without delay.
No way was she going to complain to management. You do it the rebel way. First, smash the spare parts door with the handlebars, then loot what you need. On the way out, a Black Seven has become a Café Racer. Not at all the same, and with a darker spirit.
between the Cafe Racer (75) and the Cafe Racer (7black), it's a fratricidal guerrilla war. They could have made an effort on the name... but the style is more than enough to separate them. With its larger fuel tank, lower handlebars, handlebar-mounted mirrors, black engine with polished fins, split-cylinder amortos and dual speedo, this Cafra looks meaner and steeper than its first cousin.
But only in shape and riding position. Chassis and engine are totally inbred. Drivers will break their wrists with the illusion of urban sportiness. In fact, the single-cylinder engine with its old-fashioned technology delivers 11.6 horsepower. The frame is very basic, with a simple tubular steel cradle structure.
The Café Racer 75 defends itself better with a 38 mm inverted fork. This will be a standard element of the same diameter for the CR Black Seven, sprinkled with gussets at the top of the tubes. In both cases, a 300 mm front brake disc with 3-piston caliper is mated to the 220 mm rear disc.
it's time to get down to business. This Mash 125 Cafe Racer Black Seven plays its last cards with adjustable handlebars, an elegant perforated leather strip running across the fuel tank (optional) and a Monza-style fuel cap. All in all, it's the perfect choice for you, but still not enough to decide between the two in terms of their dynamic pretensions. Both machines defend themselves in the same way in everyday use, glossing over their role as simple, inexpensive machines with judicious cosmetic tricks. And mash it does.
