Mash has succeeded in establishing its presence on the market, first with its low-cost 125s, then with a gradual move upmarket. The Beaune-based brand revisits its youthful past. The first chapter was written with the Seventy - The initiator let the range emancipate itself, until its descendants forgot about it....

The 125 Seventy has shed its American oval-viewing face for a more rebellious, darker, hangar-lurking profile. It even touches on a style of preparation with its thermal strips on the exhaust, a protective grille on the headlight, its matte moments, its tires with small blunt blocks, its fork gussets, its jar of sport brake fluid...
No sausage pot, but an elongated cone. With all this, and a handlebar that affirms the riding position, the Seventy promises to be more intrepid than the first version.

As for the engine, Mash continues with its old-fashioned mono. Air-cooled, single ACT, 2-valve, 11.1 hp at 8750 rpm, but with Delphi injection. The powertrain passes Euro5, but loses half a horsepower. Braking is of the combined type, with one disc per wheel - 300 and 220 mm. That's enough for the city, especially as at 127 kilos, the bike isn't very heavy.

This reworked version has new handlebars, a daytime running light and some fancy dresses. Depending on the color, the hail changes its name and handles. The "Cult" is certainly the most successful, with its Gulf decor and brown grips; the "Matt Black" is the most discreet, opting for black for the most part; for the "Copper", the matte orange color makes its presence felt, as do the spiked grips.

The Seventy is moving forward with a low price tag, but one that's taken on a life of its own. Gone are the days of under 2,000 euros for a new 125. The extension is approaching 25%. It won't be as easy as before, as many brands have taken over Mash's recipes. The original spirit remains.
