presentation of the 9 1-2 2008
the Corsaro's little sister, the 9 1/2 also marks Morini's return to the market, and more specifically to the sporty roadster segment. The manufacturer presents it as the descendant of the legendary 3 1/2. The Corsaro's twin is housed in the trellis frame, but slightly downsized so as not to overpower the big Morini. As the latter is aimed more at the (very) top end of the market, the 9 1/2 will appeal to a wider audience, competing directly with the Monster 1000 and S4R, SV 1000 and other roadsters in the segment. Compared to the big 1200, this machine features a single muffler, with a design similar to that of the MT-01, a different swingarm and mudguard, a one-piece two-seat, a specific fuel tank, but still a large-section inverted fork. The twin-cylinder engine is rated at 117 bhp and 10 mkg of torque, more than enough to have fun behind the wheel of an Italian with a respectable name.
