presentation of the 850 V7 Stone 2026
Memories are written in rock. It's in Lombardy that names and stories like the V7 are engraved. The first Guzzi in the range never tires of small, discreet improvements, so that it's always there when the catalog doors open.
Classic, accessible and unmistakably composed, with its cylinder heads in front of the knees and its cardan shaft transmission, this Italian bike looks forward to going to the clinic to comply with standards.
It wasn't the design department that got the most budget for this V7. Barely redesigned side panels, a planed rear mudguard, shorter pots and a new ignition key - that's it, we've done the trick. The bike feels great the way it is, so Guzzi leaves it in its finery.

The arrival of Euro5+ mobilized most of the staff's attention. They took the opportunity to do more than simply make the bike compliant. Let's delve into the twin-cylinder to note improved piston cooling, a much larger 52 mm diameter throttle valve, a 27% larger airbox, the installation of a third lambda sensor, optimized exhausts and a general increase in performance. Modest but quantifiable: power increases by 2.3 hp to 67.3 horsepower. The main winner is torque, which increases by 6 Nm at lower revs - 4,400 rpm instead of 5,000 - to 8.1 mkg. At 3,500 rpm, i.e. mid-engine speed, 95% of this muscle is available.

4% more power isn't going to trigger Traction Control at every turn, or bend the chassis. There are no changes to the double tubular steel cradle, the 40 mm fork or anything else. Guzzi relies on a single brake disc per wheel to calm the V7 when needed, with a Brembo 4-piston caliper at the front and 2-piston caliper at the rear, for discs measuring 320 mm and 260 mm respectively.
The speedometer doesn't give in to the color TFT trend, but that doesn't stop it from being pleasant to look at. Incidentally, the V7 Special sister decided to steal it this year. It can cohabit with a smartphone thanks to the optional MIA app.
The Moto-Guzzi V7 Stone lives on, with an image that seems frozen in time. So much so, in fact, that it seems to have always existed, before and after us. Distilled charm, past and present.

Bikers' reviews Leave a review - 3 reviews
The bike is certainly not light, but the weight is comparable to equivalent offerings (Speed Twin 900, Interceptor, W800, etc.), with the advantage of a lower center of gravity. And last but not least, it's the only bike in this category and at this price level to offer a cardan shaft.
A good idea for all those who (like me) think that where there's a chain, there's no pleasure, unless you're a fan of grease sprays, end of rides on all fours for lubrication sessions (please don't interpret what I'm saying), and improvised chain tensioning in the hotel parking lot.
What's more, Moto Guzzi has had the good idea of offering the attractive CM322701 fork head as an accessory (299.00 Euros unpainted), which is still a lot cheaper than the complete kit of previous years. On the other hand, what's a shame is the brand's network coverage: there are holes in the racket, the old dealerships are tending to disappear, and the new Piaggio Group standards are scaring off those who are still in business.
