presentation of the 1100 CALIFORNIA JACKAL 2000
like all big, beautiful machines, the California comes at a price, and not necessarily one that everyone can afford. So Guzzi tightened the pricing and created this lighter version of the EV: the Jackal. But it's not all doom and gloom, because what counts is that it's first and foremost a Calif. To bring the price down by almost 3,000 euros, we've cut the equipment to the bone: removed a front brake disc, the center stand, cylinder guards, coupled braking, tubeless rims, simplified the dashboard and removed quite a few chrome parts.
The Jackal is simple, but above all authentic. Give the big V2 a spark of life and vibrate to its beats. it hammers, it vibrates, and it delivers big torque. A real treat! But that's without taking into account the gearbox: from another time... The machine is easy to handle, considering its weight, and behaves healthily. The rear of the machine is not of the highest quality, and comfort suffers as a result. If you've got any money left in the piggy bank, you can remedy this by installing the Calif EV's suspension and seat. And a second brake disc, because the original one isn't very convincing under heavy, sometimes unexpected braking. In fact, the Jackal is more or less your design: you buy a (pleasant) base and add options to suit your mood and use.
