presentation of the V7 750 SPECIAL 2014
on one side, the main battlefront, with 200hp hypersports with Superbike-like technical refinements, completely unrideable on the road.
Further back, the Revivals trend, motorcycles with designs drawn from the glory of a brand's past. Moto-Guzzi unveiled the V7 series, a revival of a prestigious lineage, with a Breva 750 at its heart. A competitor to the Triumph Bonneville at virtually the same price.
the V7 range was redesigned in 2012. This Special is a more vintage and provocative version of the basic V7. It ditches the spoked rims for spoke wheels, much more classic in spirit and style. Chromed until now, they become black in 2014. A beautiful two-tone deco covers the fuel tank, whose capacity has been increased to 22 liters.
like all models powered by the 744 cm2 block, the V7 Spécial has benefited from a major update to its twin-cylinder engine. No less than 70% of the parts are new, both inside and out. The edges of the cylinder-head fins have been softened, and a new, classier cylinder-head cover has been added. The spark plug has been hidden and the volumetric ratio increased to 10.2:1. In the cylinders, much has been reworked: new combustion chambers, new pistons and rings, and a modified intake. Induction is now via a single 38 mm throttle body. The gas flow passes through a Y-shaped section to feed the two bowls. At the outlet, there is a lambda sensor for each cylinder. In addition to improved fuel consumption, this revised block boasts enhanced performance, with 48 hp and over 6 mkg of torque. The gearbox, too, promises improved driveability. For 2014, a more compact alternator has been added.

A look back at a meeting of the 3rd kind:
I hesitated between a last-generation Triumph Bonneville (the last one I owned was from 1970), and finally chose the GUZZI. What a treat, light as a bike, powerful enough (48 hp) for a return to a big cube, i'm having the time of my life, at 62 years old and 100 kg, what a pleasure to ride it solo, although 2-up is a different story, the original sound is perfect, but since I fitted mistral pots, I've rediscovered the sensations of 40 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Murphy
I can't wait for my next GUZZI, in fact even my dog's name is GUZZI.
It'll be a V7 or a California and nothing else... Rating : 4/5 Respond to Théo
But no, it's a superb bike, as lively as you could wish for, with a pleasant sound.
Of course, it's neither a sports bike nor a tourer, but it's a real pleasure to ride.
however, if you're a passenger, the suspension is a bit harsh!
formerly a triumph bonneville, i don't regret my purchase!!!!!!!!!!!! Rating : 4/5 Respond to LEONTINE
Why surprised at first?

used to triumph, the offset at the start caught my eye
it's easy to get used to! Rating : 3/5 Participate in the conversation
super engine, with plenty of horsepower (50!) and torque at the bottom (everything you really need!), very smooth for a bi, very elastic, not vibrating much, and I suspect the designer of the pots must have worked at La Scala in Milan, they're so melodious!
perfect handling, a rail on the big curves (I've never taken so many angles!);2
(slight) downsides: dry suspension (I'm 64kg and don't appreciate
and it doesn't appreciate the city in summer under high heat, air-cooled) and that's it! for the price, a little more expensive, yes, but character and
no regrets...
However, CBR600, SS750 from 93, and T595 Triumph !... Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
Mr GUZZI I want the same in V10 !!!
and you could even make an old-fashioned V10 GT
with a fork head with fixed bubble
the only concession made to modernism is the ABS
thank you Rating : 4/5 Respond to lafouine83
If I get my Bréva back, I'll go for it... Rating : 4/5 Respond to Théo
And the noise, my friends! they don't force the customer
to buy "libéré\" pipe; Wagner's opera, homologated too... After 11 brèles, including a ducate 750 ss, a triumphant daytona t595, chabada with a pretty little girl with a big heart; love at first sight guaranteed, ma\'c\'est l\'amore ...now I understand the brand's fadas!!!! Rating : 4/5 Respond to noirvélo
When I'm parked in the middle of Japanese motorcycles, passers-by only look at the Guzz! A motorcycle that makes passers-by turn around is beautiful.
A noise that doesn't sound like other roadsters and sports bikes with elevator machinery noises!
Average fuel consumption less than 6 liters per 100 km, range around 400 km. Gauge lights up at around 230kms. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Yvon
this one, it's ideal for retirement, Rating : 4/5 Respond to alaco
