presentation of the F3 RC 800 2022
Like almost every year, the F3 has its RC version. How could it be otherwise..... Who better than a sports car to wear the colors of a racing department? The 2022 edition benefits from a slight evolution, with a new base.
New ... new... Not quite. In fact, the new F3 RC has been developed from the recentF3 800 RR. The most notable evolution is the enlarged fairing, natively equipped with integrated winglets, and the wrap-around front fender with cooling ducts for the brake calipers.
its agility has also been boosted by a rear wheel that is 10% lighter, so that's it in a nutshell. It's a beautiful design, with a new look. The RC 2022 design returns to its fundamentals.
Red - white - green. Patriotism is essential for Italian motorcycles. For its RC models, MV-Agusta does not prioritize the national colors or its historic coat of arms, but those of Reparto Corse. It's fashionable and prestigious to sport the look of Moto2 and World Supersport machines: tense, garish, exciting, parading - but in no way vulgar or presumptuous. Just like MV.
A beautiful dress barely concealing beautiful arguments. The F3 is optimized here, with a TiN titanium nitride coating on the fork for improved tube sliding. Right next to it, a large box waits impatiently for the rider to install a few parts. The racing kit includes a race tank cap, machined aluminum brake and clutch levers, a matching seat cover, and above all a titanium Akrapovic exhaust with a specific ECU. Once everything is installed, the F3 RC spits out 8 more horsepower, or 155 bhp at 13,250 rpm. The weight saving for the bike is also 8 kilos.
Those were the differences between the RC and the RR. Now, if we compare the RC '22 with itspredecessor (from 2020), the cauldron has significantly altered its seasoning. Greatly motivated by Euro5, the 3-cylinder has revised its valve guides, adopted new bearings for the cylinder and pistons, modified the exhaust manifold, tweaked the engine settings and optimized the clutch.
Work has also been carried out on the bike's main structure, with chassis side plates to increase rigidity, a more efficient oil cooler, and carbon parts for the bodywork (side fairings, front mudguards, cockpit spoiler).

For the rider, the opportunity to fine-tune performance also comes with 4 riding modes, traction control, wheeling control, standing start control, launch control, rear wheel anti-lift and, on occasion, cruise control.
Only 200 units of the F3 800 RC will be produced. Once again, a fine achievement from Varese, and almost a little piece of the dream at a time when the sports car is losing more and more market share.
