News Bridgestone announces the RS12, its new road-race weapon.

Bridgestone Battlax Racing Street RS12 motorcycle rear tire

After 6 seasons of performance, Bridgestone's Battlax RS11 gives way to the RS12. This new premium sports tire will be launched from January 2026 in Europe and North America, and from February 2026 on the Japanese market.

Born of the concept "From the racetrack to the city", the Racing Street RS12 embodies technologies originally developed for the racing world, thanks to which it offers dry grip unmatched in the Battlax range of road-approved tires.

The Battlax Racing Street RS12, a concentrate of technologies

The tread compound of this new tire has been designed using technologies previously reserved for the development of racing tires.

The tread features a set of grooves optimized for exceptional grip, improving rigidity and increasing contact area in corners.

A new front structure, the HE-MS BELT , which has proved its worth in the world's most prestigious motorcycle races, is used for the very first time on a Battlax tire intended for the general public. The belt's flexibility distributes ground pressure evenly, enhancing grip.

Drawing on the technologies that have shaped Bridgestone's success in motorcycle endurance racing in recent years, the new RS12 boasts far superior performance on the racetrack than its predecessor, outperforming it in dry grip in particular. It also offers even faster lap times than the RS11. Finally, thanks to an optimized combination of compound, tread and structure, it retains high grip performance even after several laps of the track. For drivers, these various attributes are a guarantee of safety and serenity, but also the assurance of enjoying riding in a variety of conditions, from sporty driving on dry surfaces to winding mountain roads and the racetrack.

The Japanese gumshoe will be offered in 4 sizes:

- 120/70 - 17
- 180/55 - 17
- 190/55 - 17
- 200/55 - 17
