Now that I’ve finished the break-in period, I can finally share my thoughts on this motorcycle.
Overall, I really like this Orcal Altimo 125. It’s smooth, quite responsive for a 125 cm³, and very pleasant to ride on a daily basis.
The handling is very solid and inspires confidence, both in the city and on the highway.
Acceleration is good, making it easy to merge onto a beltway.
The lighting is also satisfactory, providing good visibility at night.
As for comfort, I have no complaints: the riding position is comfortable, and the bike remains comfortable even on slightly longer trips.
However, there are a few minor flaws worth noting. The engine vibrates slightly at high RPMs, and the transmission can feel a bit stiff when downshifting.
This may be due to the bike’s newness or simply require some getting used to.
Another point that some may like but others may not:
the exhaust is very quiet. Personally, I even find it a bit too quiet.
Fuel economy is excellent, at less than 3 liters per 100 km, making it an economical bike for everyday use.
I also installed a tank bag, but I had to modify the mounting system myself—
there aren’t many specific accessories for the Altimo available yet.
As for performance, I clocked a top speed of 112 km/h on GPS at 10,000 rpm, with a rider who’s 1.78 m tall and weighs 97 kg—which is quite respectable for a 125.
Finally, it’s hard not to highlight its excellent value for the money: €2,557 all-inclusive
for this little Franco-Chinese bike. At this price, it offers plenty of strengths and few flaws.
An economical, enjoyable 125cc bike that’s powerful enough for everyday use and offers remarkable value for the money.
I recommend it without hesitation. Rating : 5/5 Respond to bajazet
