presentation of the Draisienne 2024
The discovery of motorized two-wheelers can start very early, with models such as the Yamaha PW 50 or the Honda CRF 50. But the thrill can begin much earlier, with the first step towards freedom: the draisienne.
No motor, no pedals, no brakes... Just 2 wheels, handlebars and a saddle. The adventure begins here, with Sherco if you're a fan. The Nîmes-based manufacturer offers its own draisienne, instantly recognizable in its historic blue.
The little machine is both easy to ride and transport, weighing in at just 3.4 kg. The frame is made of nylon, and it can try a little offroading with its spoked rims, mixed tires and 100 mm ground clearance. The range of use starts at 18 months and can be extended up to the rider's 4th birthday. The seat height is adjustable from 320 mm to 440 mm.
As the machine has no ABS, it does not meet Euro5+ and similar standards. Sherco had the good sense not to install traction control or anti-wheeling, so the youngster can develop his balance and learn to ride without the electronic crutch that would distort the ride and feel.
Manufactured in limited quantities, Sherco's draisienne is priced at the rather upmarket price of 114.90 euros.
