with this big custom bike, it's hard to go unnoticed. The Intruder, with its shortened pot, cowhorn-style handlebars and large front wheel, is strongly inspired by choppers made in the USA. With its excellent finish and quality paintwork, Suzuki has put in a lot of effort to create a beautiful, well-finished machine. The machine's substantial weight is only felt in the steering when riding at low speeds. Otherwise, the 1400's low center of gravity makes it easy to handle. Quite supple, the twin also has a pleasant character in the low and mid-range ranges. Comfort is less convincing. It remains decent as long as the asphalt is of good quality; after that... Braking offers a good feel, but its power isn't enough; optimism should be tempered. Since 1990, the gearbox has been upgraded from 4 to 5 speeds. The Intruder 1400 is a fine example of a certain era in custom motorcycling.

You have to be a fan to own a 1400 intruder, I have a 1996 model blue 2011 and total 45000kms, the description here is correct but many of the minus in the balance can improve;confort suffit de mettre des amortisseurs progressif à l'av et l'ar, freinage suffit de mettre des disques ventilé av et ar avec des plaquettes de bonnes qualité, duo c'est clair qu'il vaut mieux une ptite chinoise qu'une italienne lol, autonomie suffit d'agrandir son réservoir comme moi (17 liters j'arrive à faire 280 kms )et pour répondre à Chris le biker les fusibles se trouvent du côté gauche dans une boîte noire sous la selle conducteur et sais marqué dessus voilà bonne route à tous avec cette moto de passionné 06/29/2023 00:08 Rating : 5/5 Respond to Seb

Hello everyone I own a 1400 Intruder from 1993 it's an incredible model l\'a quality of design and really very neat in every way super robust and puncture proof j\'ai presque fait deux fois la tour du compteur the only weak point but I want to mention it c\'est the overheating i had to replace them twice because they had melted. The Mach pots make a lot of noise, I wonder if the gendarmerie will appreciate it and how much it might cost me?

Thanks for the advice, having driven the bike to an acquaintance, changed the spark plugs, cleaned the carburettors, adjusted the settings, and since then there has been a detonation from time to time, no longer systematic as before.

i discovered the 1400 intruder 1 year ago it's a marvel i own a 1400 from 91 gearbox 5 with many modifications and a 1400 from 87 gearbox 4 equipped with a gsxr fork they are 2 bikes almost identical yet so different to ride

happy new owner of a black 1997 1400 intruder (10 years old) with beringer front brake (yes!), straight handlebars and slash pots... Like new condition!
super torque, beautiful engine hum (a beating heart, not a drill noise!)
A bike that's not a Harley look-alike and has its own style (unlike the Jap productions that followed...)

It's a dream come true.

Only complaints: the rear suspension and perhaps the range, but it's a custom. My previous bike, the Honda CX500c, was no better in terms of range

the 1400 intruder is above all a heart as big as this and super strong. mine, i put a straight handlebar for the look, i just have to find a big tank (not too expensive...) and that the handlebar doesn't touch. the perfect bike... by the way is there a club for intruders? i've been fitting one for three days, it's a terrible bike, it's a 1994 with 19000km on it,
but I don't have the technical document, could you please help me?
Otherwise, this bike has a lot of power to spare, it's perfect for a ride, for the moment, nothing but happiness..

a jewel i own one since 1996 i bought it new. i did 5000 km on vacation a dream i changed the front brake disc footrest stile 1500 nothing to envy to harleys
about position you just have to find the right handlebars

i've had this bike for five years and i've been very happy with it, fabulous engine torque, especially as at the time i'd made myself a trailer with a hitch and so i towed it all to go on holiday .... great!

i've been dreaming about it for years, and I came across a very sober little customized jewel (right-hand pots, flat handlebars, small "sic" tank, small rear footstool)
