presentation of the DR 125 SE 2001

a very practical machine, this DR (Suzuki's name for trails) is perfect for the city. Its featherweight and maneuverability combine with a lively engine to get you everywhere. The mill (with electric starter) is well known; it's the same as on the GN - except that on the DR it benefits from a 6-speed gearbox. This is a real plus in terms of driving pleasure, but not enough to ensure respectable speeds on long-distance roads. Power is just right, but you can still go far. The machine's range is impressive, and if you feel like it, you'll find it easy to wander along back roads. The suspension is in keeping with this philosophy, but requires a high seat height - as is the case with all trail bikes. It's not the sporty machine you'd expect from a 2-stroke competitor, but it's at ease everywhere.

Conforming tire
French PEPE Model 1998
Hello. I just bought a 1998 125 DR. It is being inspected because the tire size is wrong. Which compliant tire do you put in 70/100/21 at the front and 90/90/18 at the rear? Thanks for your help! Rating : 5/5
French fafi69 Model 1997
Good little bike for touring, reliable, easy to handle, doesn't consume anything, "a real camel", good 4-stroke engine, inexpensive maintenance and parts, ideal for all kinds of riding: paths, beaches, roads, just passed the MOT, OK "mini" budget for a great bike. Enjoy the ride! Rating : 5/5
Où se trouve la boîte à fusible de lu suzuki dr 125 sm ?
French Elisabetta Model 1999
Hi everyone!
I have a little problem with my bike, it doesn't start anymore
I think it's a fuse that must have blown but I can't find the fuse box (neither next to the battery nor next to the lights)
Does anyone know where it is by any chance?

Thanks a lot
Have a nice evening!

Cool little bike, solid and fuel-efficient. Mine was built in 09/1996 and still runs just as well. It's not a racehorse, but rather a good workhorse that goes everywhere, never complains and remains faithful to its owner .....
She hasn't started for a few months, but as soon as the weather's fine, I'll get her going again to go out in the countryside or to the beach.....

This little bike is unbelievable!
Ridiculous fuel consumption, very easy to ride, perfect for beginners...

Indestructible
French Ptitmono Model 2002
Mine is 15 years old, and I've done it all with it: wild enduro on the track, regional or urban travel.
The engine is torquey, but needs to be revved up to get a decent vmax on the road.
The only modification I made was to switch to a 15 sprocket to prevent the 6th gear from being too long and difficult to use.
On 4 lanes, I max out at 110 chrono (GPS).
I forgot: I also have a non-original Michelin SIRAC tire in 80 in front and 110 in back.
I'm going to replace it soon with a more roadworthy 125, as I don't do enduro any more, it's just burnt by the UV...

au petit bonheur!!
French philaufrais Model 2000
excellent for beginners, good handling and Michelin grip. A sound that makes two-strokes of the same displacement pale in comparison. On roads, paths and trails, you just can't get enough of it. The only downside is its acceleration and torque on uphill gradients: you've got to make it scream or else...beuuuuuhh!!! Rating : 4/5

nice bikes! Rating : 5/5
French rene Model 2003
Torquey, very light and very likeable, despite a few vibrations (not too annoying at high revs) and token braking, allowing real off-road fun and easy cruising at 100km/h on roads or bypasses (unless there's a headwind!). Vmax of 115/120 (but not very frequent). The air-cooled engine is surprisingly torquey, despite its unconvincing specification sheet (1st gears pull short, but 6th feels a bit overdriven...), and very forgiving (it can be revved like the cbr's engine). It consumes nothing. It's a pity there aren't any more bikes like this today, it's really missing. Mr Suzuki, wouldn't you like to make the trail version again? (The SM version still exists). Rating : 4/5
French benjamin Model 1994
A quiet motorcycle, with no pretensions except to go far, and not much fuel. Otherwise, the brakes are very limited when 2 people are on the bike, so you just need to use the front and rear simultaneously. Rating : 5/5
French maxime Model 1994
nice bike a nice noise and very pleasant to ride, two regret the brakes ki are really limited, surtt if you want to pull a little in town and of course the power ki remains limited Rating : 5/5
French franck Model 1994
Very efficient in the city, this high-mounted DR is carefree and low-maintenance, braking just enough for two
to keep for a long time.
