presentation of the VL 125 INTRUDER 2006

already present in the juicy niche (around 2000) of 125 customs with its Marauder, Suzuki is strengthening its position with the present Intruder. Convinced of the importance of this market, the manufacturer has added a brand-new engine: a V-twin with 3 valves per cylinder. Unfortunately, this mill isn't one of the best. Its sound is pleasant, but it lacks breath and vibrates a lot at higher revs. Whatever the conditions, it's no match for the Honda Shadow's twin. The machine makes up for this a little with its roadholding, which is very decent. It's easy to ride and weaves its way through urban environments without difficulty. Suzuki should modify the braking system. Both dosage and power are uninspiring. As are the handlebars, which penalize comfort. The bike's strong points are its attractive finish and a number of practical features, such as a large trunk and a clever helmet hook. However, the Intruder is put to the test by its majestic Shadow.

French Ferdi Model 2000
hello,
I have a suzuki 125 intruder from 2000, I have problems with the battery not charging, I think it's the ignition stator. I'd like to change it myself but I don't know where it is and if it's possible
Thanks in advance for your information.

question freinage, qu'en est il au juste
French pistachedudouze Model 2000
I was thinking of buying a 2000, but I'm wondering, after reading on motorcycle websites, if I'm going to have braking problems... Never ridden a 125, LOL. Is there a difference between models, depending on the year? Rating : 1/5
Suzuki Intruder VL 125
French Swifty Model 2001
I've had a 2001 Intruder 125 for two years now, with a custom pot it sounds great!
I love it for quiet rides, but it's still a 125 of course!

I'd also like to know what nozzle is needed when changing the air wire to the box with K-style cones

Quel gicleur pour un 125 intruder ?
French lilout-33 Model 2000
i removed the foam from the air filter and was told to use a larger nozzle because I have a large air intake in the air filter, but there's still the grille. Could you tell me what nozzle I should use? Rating : 5/5
achtung le freinage!!
French Model 2006
I remain dubious about the safety conditions of this motorcycle that I have owned since 2006 in terms of braking, moreover, battery too low, a week of rest and recharging almost mandatory and no solution in model beyond 6Amp, plastic chrome does not withstand the marine climate as for the rims a cat in short clinquant and Company Rating : 2/5

I'm on my second VL 125. The first bought new, sold at 100,000 km, in good condition, never a problem except for carb icing in winter. The current one is at 40,000 km and running well. As for the brakes, I avoid being in them to avoid surprises. Rating : 5/5

very good machine, comfortable and pleasant to ride
a little short on top speed, good braking, very maneuverable in town
Rating : 5/5
I'm taking the big cube test and, as I'm struggling, I bought this bike to help me get the hang of it, and I have to say I love it
I'd really like to find a driving school with a bike this high, because the 500 I'm learning on is too high and too heavy for me
In any case, I don't regret my purchase, because it's beautiful and fun to ride
As far as braking is concerned, I think it's fine, but it chases a lot from the rear
Sincerely to all
Pat

good machine to start with. having your feet on the ground quickly is a plus. ideal for a woman... but limited like all 125s, especially when exiting corners Rating : 5/5
French domi Model 2000
very pleasant machine to drive, average speed on the flat: 120 km/h
as far as braking is concerned, a big effort is required
roadholding: hunting when cornering too quickly.
