presentation of the GSF 1250 Bandit S 2016

The Suzuki Bandit is like a TV or a microwave oven. It feels like it's been around forever, so much so that you don't even notice it anymore. But when they arrived on the market, each of these machines shook up its environment to such an extent that everyone in the office and at the counter went wild over them.
Although its career is becoming more and more discreet, the big GSF, only available in S version for a few years, has given itself a little facelift for 2015. To keep up with the times? No, simply to continue to please.

let me tell you right away, only the fork head has changed. Double-cradle tubular steel chassis, big 1255 cm3 4-cylinder, classic chassis with 41 mm fork and monoshock - functional without fuss, just waiting to be ridden, with power and torque that are linear but present and always responsive. So, let's see what the bow appendage has to offer for this umpteenth turn of the GSF 1250.
Equipped with two small dummy air intake ports, the fork head takes on a timid and symbolic GSX-R look. Once the sporty thrill has passed, we discover that the face extends down the sides. Suzuki announces improved protection and aerodynamics.

not enough to put the Bandit 1250 in the pantheon of roadsters, just enough to refresh it a little. Suz has also soberly worked on the fuel injection to make the engine a little smoother and more pleasant. Apart from its kindness and plebeian technology, the GSF 1250 S has no real complaints. Equipped with ABS, a center stand, a two-height adjustable seat, an uncritical riding position and everyday availability, it also offers a great price for such a displacement.

Super-torque engine, a real rubber band from 2000 rpm. Handy, not too badly finished, abs safe, this Suzuki Gsx1250 is the best value bike. Too bad Suzuki stopped production in 2018. A few minor faults, however: a gear indicator is missing, the mirrors are half in the shoulders, the position is ideal for people of normal height (1m65 to 1m85), but for taller people over 1m90 I think the legs will be too bent and I'm sure some will look like toads on this bike. Torque is very present on the 1250, so count on 4,000 km for a rear tire (we like to play with torque) versus 8,000 km for the front. Rating : 4/5
Une bonne bécane
French Model 2016
Super-torquey engine, solo and duo appreciated for saddle comfort, machine a little heavy at standstill and becomes clumsy when accelerating in curves, it's an all-rounder above all, a good tourer. Beware of side-swiping, though; it only takes one false flat for it to want to go to ground... I barely caught her once. In any case, I don't think there's anything better in terms of quality/price/pleasure. For those looking for more fun in the category, look no further than the Kawa z1000sx. In any case, for my part, I'm happy with this machine, the only fly in the ointment being its fuel consumption, which gives a range of around 200/220 km... Rating : 4/5

It's not a sports bike - that's all been said in tests and other comparisons. It's a great mill for those who like to wind without playing with the gearbox. I find it rather pretty, perhaps a little all-purpose, a bike that doesn't resemble the new machines with their more than dubious and horrible aesthetics... For me, it's my next purchase! slt Pascal, did you buy the new suz when do you think? I'm tempted by this machine but what's holding me back is the consumption, I do 550 km with mine solo

I wanted to change after 4 years of good service of my 650 DL, I tried this morning a 1250s and I was immediately excited by this bike, great engine with torque so I bought it is 2015, suzuki no worries for the trade-in v-strom Rating : 4/5

Difficult to do more than 190 km on a full tank. Very pleasant to drive, heavy at standstill.
Lots of torque. Great value for money.

What a shame to have changed so little! All that was needed was to add real brakes, a lighter frame and a modern exhaust, and you'd be off to a flying start, just as you were in 2007, without touching the super-engine (well, a few more horsepower at the top of the rev counter, anyway). The Bandit 1250 deserved better than this sprinkling, and the price isn't all that steep considering the damping... Rating : 1/5

The only big fault with this bike is the weight
The rest is happiness
