presentation of the TLR 1000 1999
the TLR had a mission: to enter the Superbike class and take on Ducati. So the Hamamatsu-based manufacturer took a twin-sport-equipped machine from its catalog - the TLS - and put it through its paces.
gSX-R aesthetics, rotary shock absorber from the S but more sophisticated, SRAD, imposing double-beam frame and reinforced swingarm, 6-piston brake calipers... and re-vitamized engine; the twin is fitted with 2 injectors per cylinder and various parts are modified: airbox, moving parts in the engine, intake ducts. The twin produced 135 bhp on the racetrack - however, it was designed to produce almost 150 bhp by means of a few subtle arrangements, and a Belgian tuner was even able to get 180 horsepower out of it! False illusions, because the machine was too heavy and, although the tuning possibilities are very extensive, this Superbike was not at its best on the racetrack.
its potential is far more interesting outside the paddocks. The bike boasts an efficient, sure-footed front end, remarkable traction and a powerful, pleasant engine. The whole machine is efficient and pleasant, admittedly a little heavy but well-balanced. The riding position is sporty but comfortable, as is the protection. The duo on the TLR is quite simply a workout, shortened only by the ridiculous range. The attractive price and the engine's enchanting behavior should be taken into account, especially the twin's potential!

at least it's not an electric motor!
a real pleasure to listen to and ride
A motorcycle with character that has nothing to envy from its rivals!
and I'm not even talking about its dual injection, which is twice as noticeable when you've tested the tls (single injection). try its little sister, and you'll understand why it's so big! Rating : 5/5 Respond to kobe
