presentation of the TIGER 800 XRT 2017
triumph has decided to make its 800 Tiger models more and more attractive, and to add more equipment. To kick off the range, the XR allows you to venture out onto the road and horizons. Except that we often want to install a few accessories to enhance the trip. This XRT version, which could be defined as over-equipped, comes with a nice little list of supplies.
the Hinckley-based brand starts by pumping up the alternator to 650 W, so as to send enough power to everything that connects. You'll understand: on board the Tiger 800 XRT, you'll find an additional 12V socket (3 in all), heated rider/passenger seats and grips, and a set of fog lights.
And that's not all, because this XRT clearly smells of travel. Aluminum brackets for optional luggage are fitted to the stern. A GPS mounting kit and tire pressure monitoring system are standard. Finally, Triumph has also fitted an aluminum radiator guard and a CNC-machined brake bowl.
with this Triumph Tiger 800 XRT, all you have to do is buy the suitcases and go as far away as you feel like. Remember that the top-of-the-range XRx version, on which this enriched variant is based, already offered cruise control, several riding modes, more advanced ABS than the XR, hand guards, center stand, etc....
Dynamically, you can rely on the 3-cylinder, 800 cm3, 95 hp engine. The powertrain is playful, powerful and ready to soar. Experienced drivers and/or enthusiasts of larger blocks may find it a little lacking in torque at low revs. The chassis is true to Triumph quality, intuitive and easy to use, with handling and ride that almost feel like a roadster.
